natural number, that is, the sum of two members of the above set is a member of the
set.
4. In subtracting 5 from 7, we begin with 7 and count to the left five numbers to 2. It is
clear, however, that 7 cannot be subtracted from 5 since there are only four numbers to
the left of 5.
