1.1 The present continuous tense
- STUDENT’S BOOK, PAGE 123
- Usage:
+ to say what is happening at the moment.
Ex: Where is Paul? He is playing football.
+ describe a temporary state.
Ex: My motorbike is under maintenance. My friend is giving
me a lift till I take it back.
+ describe a future arrangement.
Ex: You are going to have a test in next class.

1.2 Have/Have got
+ “Have” can be more formal, used to talk about
activities, in writing and in all tenses.
Ex: I have lunch at 12h30.
+ “Have got” is informal, used in present tense, to
talk about possession.
Ex: We have got a house in the countryside.
