Buổi 1: Diect speech and reported speech.
I/ Định nghĩa
*Diect speech- Là lời nói của 1 ngời đợc thuật lại đúng nguyên văn.Lời nói trực tiếp gồm
mệnh đề chính là mệnh đề tờng thuật và mệnh đề danh từ là câu nói trực tiếp.
*Reported speech Là lời nói của 1 ngời đợc thuật lại với từ và cách nói của ngời thật lại ,
nhng ý nghĩa không đổi.
Ex:Mary said I dont feel well today (D)
Mary said that she didnt feel well thatday. (R)
II/ Đổi lời nói trực tiếp sang gián tiếp trong câu khẳng định và câu phủ định.
1.Động từ tờng thuật (Reporting verbs)
*Say to + O chỉ dùng trong lời nói trực tiếp.
*Tell to +O chỉ dùng trong lời nói gián tiếp.
Ex:Mary said to me I dont feel well today
Mary told to me she didnt feel well thatday.
2/ Persons
*The first persons: I/me/my/mine/We/us/our/ours- Đợc đổi theo ngôi của chủ nghữ trong
mệnh đề tờng thuật.
Ex: Jane said I have left my book at home
Jane said that she had left her book at home.
*The second persons: You/you/your/yours- Đợc đổi theo ngôi của tân nghữ trong mệnh đề t-
ờng thuật.
Ex:He said Ill lend you my book.
He told me he would lend her his book.
*The third persons: it/it/she/her/he/him/its/her/hers/his/they/them/their/theirs. thờng đợc
giữ nguyên .
Ex:She said I have posted their letter.
She told me she had posted their letter.
3.Verb tenses; Time and place words.

Diect speech reported speech.

III/ Đổi lời nói trực tiếp sang gián tiếp trong câu hỏi
1.Yes/no questions.
Ex: He said Are you reading?

He asked if/whether I was reading.
He said Can you play soccer?

2. The simple past with wish :“ ”
+ Do you have a car?
 No. Do you want to have one ?
 So you wish you had a car
 Now listen how to form sentnce with wish: Wish + Past subjunctive clause

The spaceship flew around the new planet several times. The planet was blue and
green. They couldn't see the surface of the planet because there were too many white
clouds. The spaceship descended slowly through the clouds and landed in the middle of

a green forest. The two astronauts put on their space suits, opened the door, climbed
carefully down the ladder, and stepped onto the planet. The woman looked at a small
