IV. Read the following paragraph and answer the questions by writing T if it is true and F if
it is false.
Everywhere in the world, forests are being destroyed. It is believed that 90% of Germany’s
forests will have disappeared by the end of the century. This destruction is caused by air pollution.
Power stations and cars are mainly responsible for this. They blow gases into the air which after a
series of chemicals changes, turn into toxic acids. These acids destroy not only trees but also fish
and other wildlife. The world has come to realize that something must be done before it is too late
and urgent measures must be taken against air pollution.
