Many people now thing that teachers give students too much home-work. They say that it
is unnecessary for children to work at home in their free time. Moreover, they argue that
most teachers do not properly plan the homework tasks they give to students. The result
is that students have to repeat tasks which they have already done at school.
Most people agree that homework is unfair. A student who can do his homework in a
quiet and comfortable room is in a much better position than a student who does his
homework in a small, noisy room with the television on. Some parents help their children
with their homework. Other parents take no interest help their children’s homework.
It is important, however, that teachers talk to parents about homework. A teacher should
suggest suitable tasks for parents to do with their children. Parents are often better at
teaching their own children!

The invention of electric telegraph gave birth to the communication industry.
Although Samuel Morse succeeded in making the invention useful in 1837, it
was not until 1843 that the first telegraph line of consequence was constructed.

By 1860 more than 50,000 miles of lines connected people east of the Rockies. The
following year, San Francisco was added to the network.
The national telegraph network fortified the ties between East and West and
contributed to the rapid expansion of the railroads by providing an efficient
means to monitor schedules and routes. Furthermore, the extension of the
telegraph, combined with the invention of the steam -driven rotary printing
press by Richard M. Hoe in 1846, revolutionized the world of journalism. When
the business of news gathering had been dependent upon the mail and on hard-
operated presses, the telegraph expanded the amount of information a
newspaper could supply and allowed for more timely reporting. The

the following sentences.
In the 1960s, The Beatles were probably the most famous pop group in the whole world.
Since then, there have been a great many groups that have achieved enormous fame, so it
is perhaps difficult now to imagine how sensational The Beatles were at that time. They
were four boys from the north of England and none of them had any training in music.
They started by performing and recording songs by black Americans and they had some
success with these songs. Then they started writing their own songs and that was when
they became really popular. The Beatles changed pop music. They were the first pop
group to achieve great success from songs they had written themselves. After that it
became common for groups and singers to write their own songs. The Beatles did not
have a long career. Their first hit record was in 1963 and they split up in 1970. They
stopped doing live performances in 1966 because it had become too dangerous for them –
their fans were so excited that they surrounded them and tried to take their clothes as
sourvenirs! However, today some of their songs remain as famous as they were when
they first came out. Throughout the world, many people can sing part of a Beatles song if

****The end****
Good luck to you!!!
** Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have
only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
Mơ điều bạn muốn mơ, đi dến nơi bạn muốn đến, làm người bạn muốn trở thành, bởi vì bạn chỉ có một
cuộc sống và một cơ hội để làm mọi điều mình muốn.
**Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall
one day be; your Ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.
The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird waits in
the egg; and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs.
Your circumstances may be uncongenial, but they shall not long remain so when you perceive an Ideal and
strive to reach it.
