LESSON 1: CURRICULUM VITAE'S INTRODUCTION

(GIỚI THIỆU VỀ BẢN LÝ LỊCH)


1.GIỚI THIỆU VỀ BẢN LÝ LỊCH

CV là từ viết tắt của từ "CURRICULUM VITAE", có nghĩa

là " BẢN LÝ LỊCH". Trong đó từ Vita hoặc Vitae là phần

miêu tả chi tiết tiểu sử của một người về quá trình học tập

và làm việc. Nó khác với "résumé", bản tóm tắt ngắn gói

gọn trong một trang trình bày sơ lược kinh nghiệm làm

việc và trình độ học vấn của một người.

Nguồn gốc của cụm từ "curriculum vitae" là xuất phát từ

tiếng La-tinh và có nghĩa là “the course of one’s life or


career.” (quá trình sống và làm việc của một người).

Bản lý lịch bao gồm những thông tin chi tiết về những

khố học chun ngành, kinh nghiệm về cơng việc hay

những sản phẩm đã được xuất bản, vv... của một người

nào đó.

Bản lý lịch đã được sử dụng từ rất lâu trong số những

người chun nghiệp có trình độ học vấn cao và bây giờ

đã trở nên phổ biến với những người chưa tốt nghiệp

cũng như là những ngươì xin việc trong những lĩnh vực


như là nghiên cứu, giảng dạy và quản lý.

Hơn thế nữa, do xu hướng sử dụng những mẫu đơn xin

việc vắn tắt (thường chỉ gồm hai trang) ngày càng tăng

nên những người xin việc được khuyến khích gửi kèm

bản lý lịch. Vì vậy, bản lý lịch nhiều khi cịn được ví như là

"academic résumé" ( bản tóm tắt học thuật.)
