REPORTED SPEECH WITH INFINITIVE
( câu gián tiếp với động từ nguyên mẫu):

Uses Lời nói trực tiếp nói ra từ ai đó theo cách thức
mệnh lệnh, yêu cầu, sai khiến người khác.
Dùng để tường thuật lại lời nói trực tiếp cuả ai đó theo
cách thức mệnh lệnh, yêu cầu, sai khiến người khác
Form Thể khẳng định: Infinitive (Vo) + Object (O)
Thể phủ định:Don’t +Infinitive(Vo)+Object (O)
Thể khẳng định: S + asked/ told + O + To – Vo.
Thể phủ định: S + asked/ told + O + Not to – Vo.
Change 1. (Please – don’t) Infinitive (Vo) +(Object (O)  S + asked / told / ordered+ O + (NOT) To – Vo.
Câu hỏi không có “Wh” / must (not) + Vo
Can / could + S + Vo?
2. S + Will / Won’t + Vo  S + promised + O + (NOT) To – Vo
3. S + Should / Would + Vo  S + advised (encouraged) / wanted + O + (not)To – Vo.
4. Verb + (to) Vo + Object (O)  S + offered / reminded / warned + O + (NOT) To – Vo.
5. “Would you like + to – Vo….?”  S + invited / asked / told + O + (NOT) To – Vo.

• Chủ từ : thường chỉ người. (S)
• Túc từ : đứng sau động từ tường thuật,
thường chỉ người (O)
• Đổi ngôi khi chuyển từ trực tiếp sang gián
tiếp.
Reported verb (động từ tường thuật): asked/ told,
promised, advised (encouraged) / wanted, invited,
offered / reminded / warned.
Thường đứng giưã chủ từ và túc từ.
