LỜI GIỚI THIỆU
LỜI GIỚI THIỆU

Chương trình tự chọn Trung học cơ sở – môn Tiếng Anh lớp 8 dành cho các em học
sinh lớp 8, bậc THCS đã học qua các cuốn sách cùng bộ : Tiếng Anh 6, Tiếng Anh 7, Tiếng
Anh 8.
Chương trình tự chọn Tiếng Anh 8 nhằm tiếp tục nâng cao trình độ Tiếng Anh của các
em bằng cách phối hợp rèn luyện các kỹ năng nghe, nói, đọc, viết thông qua các loại hình bài
tập được cho.
Mục đích của chương trình này là :
- Nhằm khai thác vốn từ vựng, cấu trúc và kiến thức có sẵn của học sinh.
- Kiểm tra mức độ hiểu bài hoặc các chức năng giao tiếp trong đời sống hằng ngày của các
em. Giúp các em chú ý vào những nội dung thông tin và ngữ liệu của bài học.
- Phần luyện nói sẽ giúp các em tập sử dụng các cấp trúc và từ vựng để thực hiện các mục
đích giao tiếp khác nhau.
- Củng cố lại các cấp trúc và từ vựng đã học qua các bài tập nghe hiểu để lấy thông tin.
- Bài đọc hiểu nhằm mở rộng nội dung chủ điểm, mở rộng cấp trúc từ vựng và phát triển kó
năng đọc hiểu của học sinh.
- Các loại hình bài tập viết sẽ giúp các em củng cố lại ngữ liệu đã học, đồng thời giúp các
em học cách diễn đạt các nội dung giao tiếp qua ngô ngữ viết và làm quen với một số thể
loại viết đơn giản phục vụ cho mục đích giao tiếp hằng ngày.
- Còn các bài tập ngữ pháp giúp cho các em luyện tập, củng cố và hệ thống lại cấu trúc
trọng tâm của bài.
Chương trình tự chọn này do nhóm Tiếng Anh của trường Trung học cơ sở An Trạch.

I. Read :
President Ho is a great man but he had a very simple life. He devoted his whole life to
the liberation of our nation. The first impression of the meeting with the leader of the
Vietnam people was the complete informality, the warmth and simplicity of it all. President
Ho or Uncle Ho as he is to millions of people throughout Vietnam had the ability to make one
feel in ease from the first moment and to present the most complex question in a few clear
words and gestures. Everyone who is received by president Ho comments on these
characteristics, and above all their feeling of being immediately “at home” with him.

MY HOUSE
I live in a house near the sea. It’s an old house, about 20 years old and it isn’t very
large. There are two bebrooms upstairs but no bathrooms. The bathroom is downstairs, next to
the kitchen and there is a living room. There is a garden in frond of the house. The garden
goes down to the beach and in spring and summer there are flowers every where. I love my

Although I was born and brought in the country I spent most of my time in the city,
however, a comfortable life in the city has never appealed to me at all. And the country with
its advantages still has a call to me for good.
Living in the country, the fresh and clean air of the country makes you feel healthier.
How relaxed and pleasant you are when you can enjoy the pure air wafted with soft fragrance
of areca and grape fruit trees as you leisurely take a stroll around your garden. Morever,
living in the country you may feel safer while in town, the city dwellers are in a state of
continuously being afraid of committing violent deaths caused by careless drivers or foolhardy
motor-cyclists.
In the country you can rest from the noise and bustle of the town. Even though you
have to get up early to catch buses to get to work in town, you can sleep better at night
without being disturbed by deafening sirents of cars or machines running noisily all the time.
