Example: Tet is the most important celebration in Viet nam. It is in late January or early
February. On this occasion people clean and decorate their homes, they wear new clothes and
family members enjoy together special food such as sticky rice cake. Everyone in Vietnam feels
happy on Tet holiday

- On these occasions, children will have a special day to express their feelings, memories

- On the first Sunday of April. Because Sunday is a day off so everybody is free from work or
study.
- April is in late Spring or early Summer and weather is generally fine.So activities can
happen outdoors.
c/ How do you celebrate?
- To have lunch or dinner with all members of the family
- Children should give their parents: flowers, sending cards, or bring them a special cake.
d/ Should this day be celebrated nationwide? Why?
- Yes. This day should be celebrated nationwide because everybody loves their parents and
wants their parents to be happy.

- Have Ss write individually to a friend to tell him / her about why they want to celebrate
Mother’s Day or Father’s Day in Viet Nam and how to celebrate it.
