The sum of the hidden numbers

Different numbers are written in the cells of the table below. Cut out
the strip of paper at the bottom of this page (the 4 squares) and
hide 4 neighboring numbers (vertically or horizontally) with it. I will
tell you the sum of these 4 hidden numbers.

There are 4 houses on the Baker Street, each numbered 1, 2, 3 and
4. The following people live on the Baker Street, one in each house:
Ted, Alice, Sam and Emma.

Use the following clues to find out who lives in which house using
the logic table below.

Clue 1: The number of Ted’s house is an even number.
Clue 2: The number of Sam’s house is an odd number.
Clue 3: The number of Alice’s house is greater than the number of
Ted’s house.
Clue 4: The number of Emma’s house is less than the number of
Sam’s house.
