I. AIMS
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to do further
practice in present simple and progressive, comparatives and
superlatives, quantifiers and countability: countries, natural
features, farming and environment vocabulary.
- Teaching aids: textbook, poster
- Anticipated problems.
II. CONTENT
1. Countries and languages + Present simple.

 Guessing game:

I’m from…and I speak….

Nb: students can’t put “Vietnam”!
S1: Are you from Vietnam?


S2: No, I’m not
S3: Do you speak English?
S2: Yes, I do.
S4: are you from Canada?
S2: No, I’m not…etc

2. Present simple and present progressive:
Mapped dialogue:
Grammar practice 2 P174 a→f

Example exchange:
S1: What’s her name? S2: Her name’s Susan

S1: What does she teach? S2: She teaches English
S1: Does she teach you? S2: No, she doesn’t. Mr Hai does

destroy, pick, pollute, keep off, burn, the ocean, water, wild
animals, grow

III. HOME WORK:
- Review vocabulary and structures
- Do “test yourself” (workbook)
