- After the lesson, Ss will be able to make their own
conversation used in a library.

A. Warm- up: Matching:

B. Presentation:
B3: Listen:
*Pre-listening :
- T: tells Ss what Ss are supposed to listen .
- Ss: look at the room and guess the position of the racks and
shelves of books in the library.
- T: writes Ss’ guessing on the board.
*While-listening
- T: plays the tape twice for Ss to check their prediction.
- T: plays the tape again, then ask Ss to compare their answers

with their partners
- T: calls some Ss to give their answers.
- T: plays the tape for the last time for Ss to check their
answers.
- T: gives the right ones:
1: Study area. 4 + 5: Newspapers and Magazines
2: Science + Math 6 + 7: English
3: Geography 8: Librarian’s desk.
*Post-listening- Ss: write the position of each item and then
retell in front of the class.
- Others can make any correction or addition.
B4. Read :
* Pre- reading:
- Ss: look at the pictures and answer the guided questions:
Do you know this building ?
Which building is it ?
Do you know which the largest library in the world is ?
* While- reading:
- T: asks Ss to read the text silently.
- T: asks Ss to answer the given questions in the textbook.
- T: calls some Ss to give their own answers on the board.
- T: gives the right ones:
a. It is in Washington D.C, the capital of the USA.
b. It has over 100 million books.
c. It has 1.000 km of shelves.
d. Over 5.000 people work there.
e. Because it receives copies of all American books.
- T: calls some Ss to read the text again.
- T: explains some new words:
Congress capital receive

- Ss: read aloud the new words after the teacher.
* Post - reading:
- T: gives some guided questions:
 Is there a library in your village ?
 Does your school have a library ?
 Which is the largest library in Hanoi ? (The National
library on Trang thi street.
4. Consolidation:
- Ss practice making their own dialogue .
5. Homework:
- Do the Ex in the workbook.
- Prepare the next lesson.(Unit 5)
