ABSTRACT

In learning a foreign language in general, and English in particular, the knowledge
and mastery of vocabulary play an important role. Without vocabulary, it is difficult to
convey anything. In order to use language suitably in real context, students should acquire
an adequate number of words and should know how to use them accurately. However,
teaching and learning vocabulary efficiently is a problem to every teacher and student.
Vocabulary- learning difficulty is an issue that needs a lot of discussion.
The aims of this study are to identify the difficulties in learning vocabulary of students
of computer at Yenbai Teachers’ training college and to find out possible solutions to the
found difficulties in order to help students learn computer- related vocabulary in effective
way.
The study was undertaken among all teachers and 3
rd
year students of computer at
Yenbai teachers’ training college. Statistical analysis revealed that most of students are
coping with various difficulties in learning vocabulary, i.e the lack of specialized
knowledge with numerous terms, complicated structures and countless expressions, the
lack of various teaching technique, the lack of teaching aids and reference materials. Some
solutions are suggested to deal with these problems including encouraging students to
develop their self- studying in order to become active learners, improving learning
vocabulary interest and motivation, improving specialized knoledge for ESP teachers and
students, improving teachers’ activities in teaching vocabulary and equiping teaching
facilities.
The result of the study can be some help to students who learn Information
Technology at Yenbai Teachers’ Training College.

BẢN TOÁT YẾU LUẬN VĂN

Tên đề tài: Những khó khăn trong việc học từ vựng tiếng Ạnh chuyên nghành tin
của sinh viên tin truờng CĐSP Yên Bái

Trong việc học ngoại ngữ nói chung và tiếng Anh nói riêng thì việc nắm chắc từ
vựng đóng một vai trò rất quan trọng. Không có từ vựng thì rất khó có thể biểu
đạt hoặc diễn tả điều gì đó. Nhằm mục đích sử dụng một ngôn ngữ hiệu quả và
phù hợp trong ngữ cảnh thật thì người học phải tích lũy đủ một số lượng từ vựng
và sử dụng chúng một cách chính xác. Tuy nhiên, dạy và học từ vựng một cách
có hiệu quả vấn còn là vấn đề đối với người dạy và người học. Khó khăn trong
việc học từ vựng vẫn cần phải được xem xét nhiều hơn nữa.
Nhiệm vụ của đề tài này là xác định những khó khăn trong việc học từ vựng
tiếng Anh chuyên nghành Tin của sinh sinh viên Tin trường CĐSP Yên Bái và
đưa ra một số giải pháp nhằm giúp sinh viên Tin học từ vựng chuyên nghành Tin
hiệu quả hơn.
Đề tài được thực hiện với sự tham gia của 7 giáo viên tiếng Anh và 100 sinh viên
Tin. Dựa trên kết quả nghiên cứu của đề tài, sinh viên gặp phải những khó khăn
sau khi học từ vựng tiếng Anh chuyên nghành Tin : thiếu kiến thức cơ bản,
phương pháp học tập chưa phù hợp, thiếu động cơ học tập, khó khăn khi phát
âm, sử dụng và nhớ từ vựng, giáo trình chưa phù hợp. Một số những giải pháp
cho những khó khăn trên là: nâng cao kiến thức cơ bản cho sinh viên, kiến thức
chuyên nghành cho giáo viên, đổi mới phương pháp dạy và học từ vựng, trang
thiết bị dạy học, tài liệu giảng dạy tiếng anh chuyên nghành
Kết quả nghiên cứu của đề tài sẽ góp phần giúp sinh viên Tin học tiếng anh
chuyên nghành có hiệu quả hơn.
