A- Theory:
1.Từ có một âm tiết không có trọng âm.
2.Từ có 2 âm tiết :
Đa số trọng âm tiết ở âm thứ nhất (Đặc biệt khi âm tiết cuối có tận cùng là :-er, -or, -ar, -ow, -on, -en,
-ent, -ance, -y…….)
Eg. Father, mother, flower, lion, children, parents, absent, mountain, valley……….
Nhưng nếu ĐỘNG TỪ tận cùng là –ENT, -ER thì trọng âm thường rơi vào âm tiết thứ 2. (eg. (to)

frequent (năng lui tới).

3.Từ có 3, 4, âm tiết : Đa số trọng âm ở âm tiết số 1:
