II/ Pre-writing:
1. Introduction: You are going to read a notice about a meeting of
TP street Residents & store owners to discuss effects of new mall.
2. New words:
- effect ( n )
- contact ( v ) : to ~ so : to communicate with so/ sth
- hardware store ( n )
3. Comprehention questons:
- get sts to read the notice & answer some questions:
a. why are the residents & store owners on TP street going to hold a
meeting? (to discuss the effects of the new mall)
b. when will they hold a meeting? What time? (on May 20 at 8 pm)
c. where will they hold the meeting? ( at 12 Hang Da street, Binh’s

hardware store)
d. who is the person to contact? (Phaïm Van Tai)
- Show the notice & ask sts to give the format used to write a
notice.
