THAILAND
Thailand is an independent country that lies in the heart of Southeast Asia. It is
one of the countries of the Association of South East Asian Nations. The country has an
area of 513,115 sq km. Thailand enjoys tropical climate. The Thai unit of currency is

the Baht.
The largest city in Thailand is Bangkok, the capital, which is also the country’s
center of political, commercial, industrial and cultural activitives.
Thailand is divided into 75 provinces, which are gathered into 5 groups of provinces by
location. The population of Thailand is now 61.5 million, about 10 million of whom live
in the capital city of Bangkok. According to the last census, 94.7% of the total
population are Buddhists of the Theravada tradition. Muslims are the second largest
religious group in Thailand at 4.6%. the official language of Thailand is Thai. It’s the
pricipal language of education and government and spoken throughout the country.
The country is well- known for the tourist destinations such as Pattaya, bangkok,
and Phuket.

Dear Lan,
I have just returned from the four-day trip to Hanoi with my parents. The trip was
very exciting, and I am eager to tell you about it.
We stayed in a mini hotel near HoanKiem lake. walking around the lake and enjoying
the fresh cool air, we felt comfortable. We also visited a lot of interesting places, such
as: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the History museum, the Temple of Literature,
West Lake, Thu Le zoo The weather was rather cold at night, but it was very
cool during the day. We really enjoyed ourselves so much.
Tomorrow we are going on a trip to Ha Long Bay. I hope you are well.
