Participles exercise
Combine the following sentences using a participle.
An example is given below.
The sage took pity on the mouse. He turned it into a beautiful girl.
We can combine these two sentences using a participle.
Taking pity on the mouse, the sage turned it into a beautiful girl.

1. The watchman opened the gate. We entered the palace.
2. We started early. We arrived at noon.
3. We met a girl. She was carrying a basket of flowers on her head.
4. He grabbed his stick. He rushed to the door.
5. The crow stole a piece of cheese. She flew to her nest to enjoy the tasty meal.
6. A passenger alighted from the train. He tripped over a bag on the platform.
7. I was walking along the street. I saw a dead python.
