Of all the Vietnamese short stories, ''Chi Pheo'' is considered one of the most
invaluable masterpieces written by Nam Cao in 1941.
The story tells about Chi Pheo's life representing hard lives of poor farmers
in old society. Chi Pheo, who is abandoned when he is a baby, is brought up
by Vu Dai villagers.He's a strong,kind and honest farmer and he works for
Ba Kien. Then, he is put in prison because of Ba Kien 's jealousy. When he
returns, his characteristics change completely. He is always dead drunk and
does wrong things. He really becomes a ghost ( devil) of Vu Dai village.
And suddenly, he falls in love with Thi No and dreams of becoming a good
person.Unfortunately, her refusal as well as social prejustice prevents him
from realizing so simple a wish. In the end, he comes to Ba Kien's house,
kills Ba Kien and kills himself.
The story represents Vietnamese famers' desire to free themselves from
porverty I've read it so many times but every time I read,I still move to tears.
It is really a priceless work of Vietnamese realistic literature.

There are a number of measures that should be taken to protect endangered
animals.First, people should organize different activities to raise people's
awareness of the urgent need to protect these animal. For example, they hold
international conferences, seminars and forums about the great importance

goverment agencies in the world to contribute to the programmes of
protecting and preserving plants and animals that are driven to the verge of

the nature. To conclude, If these measure are taken, our planet might be a

As we see, The public transportation brings us a number of benefits in
term of individual as well as society. First of all,that many people travel by
public vehicles helps reduce the environment pollution. That's because the

number of people in a bus is less than that of many individual vehicles .
Moreover, Traffic jam will no longer be our long- lasting obsession if most
everybody chooses public vehicles as daily means of transportation.

using buses to travel or electric trains to commute .The tickets of public

The house we are living in is situated in the suburb of HCM city, within
thirty minutes’ drive off the central city. We have lived there for more than
twenty years. This is a fairly large house surrounded with a luxuriant
garden.My house consists of four bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom
with a shower, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned
and well-furnished. The living-room is decorated beautifully. Paintings by

Sundays and holidays my father usually spends his time playing chess or
drinking tea with his friends. My mother and my two sisters are diligent and

suffocating days of summer, we usually take meals in the garden. It is fairly
cool and quiet here. We enjoy our meals amid the melodious twitters of
birds. On stormy and rainy nights all whole family members gather in the
living-room, watching television or telling each other about their daily
activities.
I love my house very much because it is the place where I was born and

have grown up in the education of my father and in the tender loving care of
my mother. I have spent my whole childhood in the love and affection of my
dear ones with so many sweet memories.

One day, a few of my friends and I went on a picnic to Minyak Beku, a
small interesting place on the coast of Malaya.Minyak Beku is about five
miles from Batu Pahat, a well known town in the state of Johore in Malaya.
There is a small ancient fort at the entrance to Minyak Beku. The beach at
Minyak Beku is beautiful, and there is an iron mine near by.We arrived at
that place in the morning. After getting out of the bus, we separated into
different groups and looked for shady places to spend the day.Soon, most of
us went swimming. While in the water, we were playing a few
interesting games. Those who were on the beach were playing other games.
Some of them even sang songs and danced. There were still others who were

when I was a lower secondary student. I remember well that I was a very
bad girl at that time. I always got bad marks for school subjects as well as I
got fined daily. My teachers got very disappointed, my parents felt ashamed
as I was very often mentioned as bad example at school. My classmates
found ways to keep away from me. I felt so lonely and hopeless. Then Mr.
Hung, my new maths teacher appeared. After having had a talk with me and
my parents, he agreed to be my private tutor. It was so strange that he did
not teach me lessons right away, he made ways to be my friend instead. He
spared time to get to know my difficulties, helped me to gain me confidence,
let me believe in what I could do. Gradually, I realized what to do, how to
do. He encouraged me when I felt tired, lonely or daunted. He gave me
belief and strength to sand right on my own feet. Finally, I got to know the
meaning of life.
To tell the truth, I feel so happy to have a great teacher like Mr. Hung. I
really hope that you will spare time to let me know about your idols in life. I

In the future, I want to be an interpreter, which has been my dream since I
was a little girl. Being an interpreter is very exciting and there are some
reasons for my choice. Firstly, I want to acquire more and more languages.
During my childhood, I was impressed by the Japan’s cartoons. I spent along
time watching and have troubles with it. I couldn’t understand what they
conveyed because of the different speech between us. From that time
forward, I determine myself and take account of learning English.

Furthermore, I also can restrict the different cultures among countries in the
world. Besides, I can enquire about some civilization and help people
contact easier. I know my ability isn’t as well as a lot of people’s but I am
still improving my skill day by day and all the difficulties won’t be able to
hold me up. To sum up, I want to be an excellent interpreter by the time I
have grown up.

In my daily life, I have several hobbies such as cooking, surfing, listening to
music, … ect. However, I like reading books the most for some reasons.
Firstly, reading makes me feel comfortable after many long stressful hours at
school. I actually like comic books because they contain lots of colorful and
interesting images that keep my spirit happy. Secondly, reading books
provides me a great deal of diverse knowledge of many fields. For instance,
I can know more specific culture of each country in The World’s Cultures
book. Or, I can know more things about different life of various animals that
are living around the world in the Discovery of Animals World book.
Finally, reading helps me to enhance my vocabulary in both Vietnamese and
English language. In Vietnamese book, I can learn many traditional folks or
proverbs that help me understand more deeply the beauty of my mother
tongue. About English books, I can improve my English reading
comprehension skill in study. Besides, my communication skill with the
foreigners will be better, too. In conclusion, I really like reading books, for it
brings many good things to me. I see it as a useful activity to learn how to
make life more meaningful and beautiful.

No matter how popular Facebook is with its users worldwide, I strongly
believe it should be banned. The first reason to support this ban is Facebook
has many negative impacts on the study of a lot of students. Many pupils use
Facebook in class. It will distract their attention from more important things

that teachers give them. This is the main reason why students nowadays
usually get bad grades in tests. The second reason is that Facebook is very
addictive. Some people check Facebook all the time without working,
exercising, playing sports, ect. They even do not talk to their friends
although they are very close. Consequently, they lose both health and many
relations. Finally, using Facebook regularly will make you inactive. When
you go with a group of friends, they will feel extremely exhausted as you
always look at your phone to check Facebook. You will be lazy of joining in
activities, and the result is you will become introverted. Without a doubt,
Facebook should be banned, for it has more useless thing than useful thing.
