Dear Mai,
I’m very pleased that we’re going to be pen pals. I’ll tell you a little about myself, and you can do the

I live in an area of London called Maida Vale. It’s quite near the center, but there are parks nearby
where I often take my dog, Mickey, for a walk. I live with my parents and my younger brother, Paul. My
father works for the post office and my mother has a part-time job as a nurse.
I go to the local comprehensive school, where I have a lot of friends. I like most subjects, but not all of

going swimming or horse-riding.

History of clothing
It is not certain when people first started wearing clothes however, anthropologists give estimates that
range between 100,000 to 500,000 years ago. The first clothes were made from natural elements: animal skin
and furs, grasses and leaves, and bones and shells. Clothing was often draped or tied however, simple needles
