we were grade-schoolers. [I sat next to a lovely girl on my first days at the school.]
I was a quiet little girl and didn’t have any friends then. But she came and said

Dear Mary,
In my country there are a lot of festivals. Now I would like to tell you a festival
in Nam Dinh, my home village because it’s the most interesting one with me.
Nam Dinh is famous for “Phu Day” festival. It is held every year in March in
Goi mountain of Vu Ban district. On these days not only the local people but also
the visitors from parts of our country rush to this place to pray for their lucks and
enjoy good views there. If you go to the festival, you will have a chance to listen to
the local folk songs “Chau Van”. After listening to it you will feel relaxed. Besides,
there are excellent foods which suit your taste for example “Banh day”.
I really welcome you to our festivals.

Now, I am an IT teacher in Xuan Truong high school which is near my house. I
has taught for 7 years. I like teaching because my pupils are intelligent,
spontaneous and lovable. I have lectures in the afternoon every day except for
Sunday. I teach both theory and practice for my pupils. I start working from 7.15am
to 11.45am. Sometimes I go to professional group’s meeting or assembly in the
afternoon. Although my work is not busy, I don’t feel satisfied with my salary. If I
have a chance, I will change my job or work a part-time job to earn more money in
my free time.
What do you think? Could you give me some advices.
Yours sincerely.

sat next to a lovely girl who became my best friend. The subjects were very
interesting and I began to be interested in the lessons and no longer wanted to waste
time playing about. Today, I work as an IT teacher in a high school. The knowledge

I will tell you about my most wonderful experience. It happened several years
ago when I had a visit to Phong Nha cave. On that day I came there by car. The
weather was fine. I went into a cave in a small boat. The view on the sides of the
stream impressed me a lot. In the cave there are statues formed by stalactite which
inspired me to make a poem about that region. On the way home in a train I met a
generous, kind-hearted young man who is my husband now. It was an unforgettable
trip to me.

Dear Mary,
I’m glad to receive your letter and know that you have the same hobby as mine.
I like playing games on computer and I haven’t got a Play Station. So, I will buy
a new computer game. Is it difficult? I prefer playing offline games to online
games because online games are too difficult for me. How about you? Offline
games that I usually play are Gold Minner, Road Attack, Dynomite Deluxe games
and so on. I offen play games 1.5 hours everyday. Besides, I frequently use the
computer for typing lesson plan, reading e-news, listening tomusic or downloading
some necessary files for my work. I hope that I will be able to play online games
with you.
See you soon.

Dear Mary,
I’m glad to receive your letter and know that you have confidence in me. I feel
very pleased.
For me working in a shop would be more fun. Working in a shop from 5pm to
8pm will be suitable for you. Whereas working in a cafe from 6pm to 11pm will
occupy too much of your working time and can make you tired. I think that you
should work in a shop to have more time to relax. Furthermore, it is easy for you to
work in a shop because it is familiar work that you have ever done.
I hope you will have a lucid decision and succeed in your job.

Dear …………………
I am writing a letter to tell you that

Dear Mary
I am writing a letter to tell you that I am going to buy a new house in Ha Noi. I
want to have a house with these conditions: there are at least one living-room, two

I am going to buy it because I got married and have 2 children. My present

isn’t convenient for my children’s learning and entertainment.
What do you think? Could you give me some advice.
