1. Talk about yourself
My name is Bui Thi Hue. I am 29 years old. I live in a small town of Xuan
Truong. Now, I am an IT teacher in a high school. I like my teaching because my
pupils are intelligent and lovable. However, I don’t feel satisfied my salary. If I
have a chance, I will change my job. I got married 5 years ago. My husband is an
IT engineer. We have got a 3 year old daughter. I like going for a walk with my
husband and daughter every day. At that time I feel relaxed and pleased. Our life is
very jolly and happy. I am very pleased with my family.
2. Talk about the person you admire the most
The person I admire the most is my mother. She is Ms. Le Thi Thiep. She
was born in 1952. She is small. She is a clement lady. When I was a child, she told
me stories every night. The stories that she told me were very interesting and
meaningful. She was a chemistry teacher in a junior school. She was a good
teacher. I am proud of my mother. She has retired for 5 years. For me, she is not
only a good mother but also a warm-hearted teacher because she teaches me
everything. She always makes me happy and does everything for me in my life.
She is the person who encourages me to overcome all difficulties in my life. She is
the person I can share my joy and sorrow with.
4. Talk about your study of English
I started learning English 15 years ago. But my learning English was broken
for 7 years because my job doesn’t need to use it usually. So I have forgotten a lot
of knowledge of English. Now I usually spend more time for learning English. I
always set to pronounce new words and write them. Then I study grammar, listen
to conversations and practice speaking English regularly with my friends and


teachers. Besides, I frequently listen to native English speakers through videos,
television and radio. I hope that my knowledge of English will be quickly
improved.
5. Talk about the weather in Viet Nam

The weather in each region of Viet Nam is different. In South Vietnam there
are only two seasons. They are dry season and the rainy season. While in North
Viet Nam, there are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Spring is warm. We can see colourful gardens, green trees everywhere. But it is
wet. It is hot in Summer. Autumn is cool. It is cold and dry in winter. I like autumn
the most because it isn’t hot or cold. Therefore, it is too easy to wear clothes. And
the sky is clear and blue in this season. The trees are beginning to shed their leaves
when autumn comes. I like the yellow sunshine in autumn very much.
6. Talk about your free time.
I think that entertainment is very important in our life. My work makes
me stressed. Therefore, whenever I have free time, I usually play sports. I like
running and badminton. Sometimes I go to karaoke with my friends. Although I
don’t sing well, I like singing. At the weekend, I usually go shopping with my
friends. We go to the supermarkets as BigC, VinCom by bus. Sometimes I stay at
home to read online news or listen to music. I like listening to sweet music. On
my holidays, I often go swimming with my family. I feel very comfortable when I
have free time.
7. Talk about shopping
I often buy food in the market which is near my house. When I receive
my salary, I go to the supermarket as: BigC, VinCom with my husband to buy


clothes and some other things. Sometimes, I go shopping with my friends to
relax after a hard day at work without buying anything. I buy many books in

bookstore which I need for my learning. Whenever my daughter

does many good things I often go to shop near my house with her to buy stories or
toys as a prize for her. I am interested in going shopping.

8. Talk about health and welfare
I think that health is more precious than anything else. To have a good
health, we should have a good diet. We should eat three meals a day and on
time. Lunch and dinner are two main meals but breakfast is also necessary, too.
It helps us to recover energy after the long time at night. Eating a lot of
vegetables and fruit is good for health. We should eat enough cereal and foods
that contain protein as: meat, fish, eggs, milk and so on. Especially, we should
eat little fat, oil, sugar and drink plenty of water. Besides, we should get up
early to do exercises every morning. It helps us feel better. we should go to see
the doctor regularly.
9. Talk about foreign languages
There are many languages in the world such as: Chinese, Japanese, Spanish
and so on. But, English is the most widely used language. One of my ways of
improving my English is to read books in English on a variety of subjects to raise
my vocabulary colourfully. However I think that speaking and listening English
are difficult. To acquire correct and fluent English I should learn the basic rules of
English Grammar and practice speaking English regularly with my friends and my
teachers. I should frequently listen to native English speakers through videos,


television and radio. I hope that my knowledge of English will be quickly
improved.
10. Talk about how you have been learning English.

I am living in Nam Dinh. This is a province in the northern of Viet Nam.
There are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter in this place. This
season is summer. In summer the weather is very hot. It is always bright and
sunny. It is very suitable for going on holiday or going to the beach to swim.
Besides, there are many things to play in the Summer: football , camping, and so
on. Sometimes, it has rainstorm or thunder in summer. I am afraid of thunder. I
can’t stand the severe weather in this season. I often feel tired in summer. So, I
don’t like it.
12. Talk about the foods and drinks you like.
There are many kinds of foods, but I have some favourite foods and drinks. I
like “Chung Cake” most. I like it because it’s a traditional food in Viet Nam, it
tastes very delicious. I like eating Chung Cake with meat and other things. But I
enjoy it only on Tet holiday. Besides, I usually eat fish and chicken for meals. I
often enjoy cream or juice in summer. It makes me feel pleasant. I like drinking


orange juice and milk the most because it is not only good for my health but also
keep the skin smooth and fair. Especially, I like eating noodles every morning
because it is fast and easy to cook.
13. Talk about your favorite activities in free time

house. I has taught for 7 years. I like teaching because my pupils are intelligent and
lovable. I have lectures every morning without Sunday. I teach both theory and
practice for my pupils. I start working from 7.15am to 11.45am. Sometimes I go to
professional group’s meeting or assembly in the afternoon. Altogether my work is
not busy. However, I don’t feel satisfied with my salary. If I have a chance, I will
change my job or work a part-time job to earn more money in my free time.
15. Talk about your favourite season.
I am living in Nam Dinh. This is a province in the northern of Viet Nam.

There are a lot of foods, but I have some favourite foods and drinks. I like

“Chung Cake” most. I like it because it’s a traditional food in Viet Nam, it tastes
very dilicious. I like eating Chung Cake with meat and other things. But I enjoy it
only in Tet holiday. Besides, I usually eat fish and chicken for meals. I often enjoy
cream or juice in summer. It makes me feeling pleasant. I like drinking orange
juice and milk the most because it is not only good for my health but also keep skin
fair. Especial, I like eating noodles every morning because it is too fast and easy to
cook.
17. Talk about your hometown.
I was born in Giao Thuy District that is about 40 kilometres from Nam Dinh
city. Giao Thuy is a coastal district. My hometown has two towns and 30
communes. Quat Lam beach resort is famous location in my hometown. There are
a lot of tourists go to Quat Lam beach to swimming. It is beautiful and romantic at
night. Besides, my home town have a mangrove forest is called Xuan Thuy
National Park. There are a lot of valuable and rare birds live in there. The people in
my hometown are friendly. I really welcome you to my hometown.
18. Talk about your recent holiday


Last summer holiday I had a pleasant trip to Da Lat with my family by train.
It took me about 2 days to go from Nam Dinh to Da Lat. My first impression about
it is temperate climate. I visited “Love Valley”, “Lang Biang” mountain and many
flower gardens with various colours and nice flowers such as: Mimosa, Rose,
Tulip, Forget-me-not flower and so on. Then I enjoyed some special foods in this
place. I stayed there for four days and came back by train. The days when I stayed
Da Lat were pleasant and memorable. I hope that I would have a chance to come
back to that interesting place.
19. Talk about your experience in learning English (≈Topic 4)
I started learning English 15 years ago. But, my learning English has been

My name is Bui Thi Hue. I am 29 years old. I live in the small town. I has
taught IT in the high school for 7 years. I like teaching because my pupils are
youthful and lovable. However, I don’t feel satisfied my salary. I has learned
master in computer science for a year. In the future I hope that I will find a better
job than my current job. Now my family lives in the small house. So I wish me
have enough money to buy a larger house. Additions, I got married 5 years ago. I
have got a 3 year old daughter. My daughter has gone to the nursery school that is


near my house. After I have a Master of computer science, I will have a baby next
year.
21. Talk about the person who is the most important in your childhood
My mother is the most important person in my childhood. She is Ms. Le Thi
Thiep. She was born in 1952. She is small. She is a clement lady. My mother gives
thoughtful care to me and my brother. When I was a child, she read books or told
me a story every night. I was interested in mother’s expressive reading. Now, I am
interested in reading books. All mother’s stories make me have a good personality.
I also like all mother’s food. My mother is an excellent cook. She always makes
me happy and she do everything for me in my life. She is the person who
encouraged me to overcome all difficulties in my life. She is the person who I
share my feelings, work with. For me, she is a wonderful mother. I love mymother.
22. Talk about the advantages and disadvantages of living in the big cities
Living in the big cities has some advantages but has some disadvantages. If
we live in the big cities, we will easily find a good job with a high salary. There are

many foreign companies where we can develop our ability. The service in the city
is very convenient such as hotel, hospital, education, entertainment and so on. But
living in the big cities has some disadvantages. A large number of transport pollute
city. The population is too crowded so accommodation is too narrow and traffic
jam usually occurs. Moreover, everyone in city does not care about their
neighbours because they are too busy. Life in the cities is very stuffy for me. So, I
don’t like living in there.
23. What are the special days celebrated in your country?.
Traditionally, Tet is the biggest and longest holiday in Viet Nam. Tet
holiday is very intereting. Every body is excited to be at home at Tet. Before Tet


holiday, we usually decorate our houses, buy something for Tet. Most some
families make “Banh Chung”, nowadays we can buy it. The children are bought
new clothes by their parents so they are very happy. on Tet holiday, the children
receive lucky money, every body visits relatives and have parties with them. Many
people go to pagoda to pray for health, money and good luck. There are many
festivals during Tet holiday and many people take part in them because they think
festivals bring them good luck. I love Tet holiday in Viet Nam.
