Today I gathered up some snow,
I rolled it in my mittens
And made a perfect ball.
And threw it past a wall.

It sailed above an icy bush.
It zipped around a kitten
It passed below a jay.
Who chased it on its way.

It whizzed beyond a mountain,
I stood and watched and wondered
And headed toward a star.
How a ball could fly that far.

It zoomed and whooshed
from here to there,
Maybe you could catch it,
As far as I could see.
And send it back to me.
