1. Activity 1: Adverbs of frequency
Put the adverbs in the correct place:


1.We play soccer in the street. (never)
2.My father is busy on Sundays. (always)
3.He send me a present. (sometimes)
4.They don’t go swimming in the winter. (often)
5. What do you do at recess ? (usually)
2. Activity 2:
Revision : The present progressive tense.
- Ask Ss to repeat the use, form & give exp :
+ Use : Express an action happening at the moment ...
+ Form : S + am/is/are + V-ing
- It’s often used with Adv : now, at the moment, at present,
at this time or correct time.
Eg : + I’m learning English now
+ They are cooking dinner at the moment/at present

+ It’s 8 o’clock in the morning. We are staying at home. I am
reading a picture book and my friend is playing computer game.
• Note : Adding ING after Vs:
a) Most of Vs, we only add ING after them :

Eg : sleep – sleeping ; go – going ; wait - waiting
speak - speaking
b) Vs end by ‘e’, we rub out ‘e’ before adding ING :
Eg: love – loving ; drive – driving ; write - writing
take – taking
But Vs end by ‘ee’, we keep themselves :
see – seeing ; free - freeing
c) Some Vs , we must double the end before adding ING :
Eg : stop – stopping ; run - running
Ex . Using suggested words to complete the following sentences
