TOPIC 1: WHAT MAKES A GOOD TEACHER?
When I was a child, I wished to become a teacher of
English. Now, my dream becomes true. But to be a qualified
teacher is not easy. Now, I would like to discuss about this
problem and my presentation consists of two main ideas:
Firstly, a qualified teacher must have a good moral.
Every teacher must make a question for him shelf: “What
should and shouldn’t a teacher do?” all the teacher should
know that they must set good examples for students. Teacher
should love their students and encourage what they should or
shouldn’t do. On the other hands, there are many things that
teacher shouldn’t do. For example, teacher shouldn’t drink
beer or wine when you are in class. Also you shouldn’t use
slang words or smoking. Especially, teacher shouldn’t hurt
students in any way because he is breaking the law of
education.
One of the most importance things for qualified teacher
is that he must be good at knowledge. But having a good
knowledge is not easy. Teachers must study and practice hard
day by day to find out the most suitable teaching method for
their students. Moreover, teacher must update knowledge
regularly through accessing the internet or using modern
techniques such as DVD, computer, PowerPoint … If you
have a chance, you should travel because this will help you to
get experiences from the fields you are charge of.
In short, the last purpose of all teachers is educating and
training their students to be useful people for society. To do
this, teacher must have not only a good moral but also a wide
knowledge. Teaching profession is on of the most valuable
jobs in society. It contributes a lot in the development of our
society and our country in the future./.

TOPIC 2: DO YOU THINK GAMES ONLINE DAMAGE
TEENAGERS OR HELP THEM TO DEVELOP?
Nowadays, teenagers take part in different activities in
their free time. But you can see among them, playing games
on computer is the most popular activities, especially, games
online. Many people think that games online damages
teenager but the others think it helps them to develop. Let’s
discuss about this issue.
Firstly, I would like to talk about the usefulness of
games online. After hard working day, teenagers can relax by
playing some games on computer. There are many games
which can help teenagers to be more creative and intelligent.
For example, when they play battle games, they have to think
carefully to have victory. In addition, playing games online
can help teenagers to develop their skills on using computer.
However, games online also have many bad points. The
worst thing is that games online is harmful to teenager’s
health and learning. Playing games online for relaxing is good
but being addicted to games online is very dangerous. Some
students cut class to play games. Many teenagers spend too
much time on playing games without eating or resting become
dizzy, tired or even death. Nowadays, games online is also the
cause of social problem such as robbery, family violence…
because the players affected by bad games or lack of money
to play games.
Games online its own is not bad, it just depends on the

player’s awareness. So, how can we control our children
games online playing? There must be the cooperation between
schools and families to know their activities. Parents
shouldn’t give children so much money but should lead them
to good activities such as camping, traveling, picnic… The
better the youth generation is educated, the stronger the nation
will get.

TOPIC 5: THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERNET IN
TEACHING
Having a happy family is the wish for everyone. But
keeping the happiness lasting forever is much more difficult.
You want to build a happy family; you need to do many
things. But just one wrong action can make the happiness
broken. And now, I would like to discuss about the ways to
keep family happy with following main ideas:
Firstly, a comfortable atmosphere is very necessary
with a happy family. There shouldn’t be argument
between the members of family. The younger must know the
way to respect the older. Our Grandparents, parents have
taken care of us. When we were young, we must be dutiful
them. Brothers should be harmonious and create good feeling
between all the members of the family.
In addition, there are many other things we can do to
keep our families happy. Nowadays, with the development of
society, everyone is very busy with their jobs. So, having a
dinner together becomes more and more importance. At least
once a week, family members gather together. Everybody will

be really comfortable in the atmosphere of smiles and
happiness. Besides, when there is a vacation, family members
should take a trip to somewhere to relax. This is one of the
most effective ways to keep family happy.
In a word, a happy family is the strength for everybody
to do everything successfully. Love the others in your family
and your life will be more meaningful. Let’s keep our family
happy, now and forever./.

Topic 6: THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERNET IN
TEACHING
Nowadays, the society develops more and more. So,
modern technologies are applying widely in many fields,
especially the internet. In teaching, the internet has shown its
importance effectively. Let’s discuss about it. My presentation
consists of the following main ideas:
Firstly, with a computer connected to the internet, we
can get information to serve for our teaching. As you know, if
you want to teach your students effectively, you must connect
the lesson to real life about famous person, places, events…
Internet can help you with this.
Secondly, teacher is applying the modern techniques in
teaching today. It makes the lesson livelier. With internet, we
can consult the lesson plans or teaching methods from other
teachers. We will learn experiences from them to make our
teaching better.
Finally, one of the most importance duties of a teacher

is that he must self-study to improve his knowledge. There are
many ways to study and studying online is becoming more
and more popular. For example, when I access to VOA
special English, I can learn a lot of things about education,
culture, traveling, business…
Generally, the internet is very importance in teaching. It
helps the teacher a lot in transmitting a good lesson to their
students. This also shows the ability of Vietnamese in
applying modern technology in teaching./.

Topic 7: THE CITY YOU HAVE JUST VISITED
Last summer, I took part in a trip to one of the most
attractive and beautiful places in Viet Nam with my school. It
is Da Lat city. Now, I would like to tell you about this tourism
place and I think you’ll like it very much.
When you come to DaLat, the first sight you see is about the
people here. They are very friendly and hospitable. Whenever
you talk with them, you can see the sentence “Welcome to
DaLat” in your eyes. On the trip, I just stayed there three days
but I learned many things about the culture here. Dalat city
locate in a highland and there are many ethnic minorities
living there. Their cultures are very rich and have particular
characteristics.
The food in Dalat is especially delicious. On the trip, I
tried meat of wild animal and I won’t ever forget it.
Especially, the vegetable is very fresh and it is in all the
meals. I also like their fruits here such as strawberry (

Dâu tây) and avocados. (/

One of the most attractive things of Dalat is its weather.
It is very cold and it is an ideal place for many couples are in
honeymoon. Dalat is also called “The city of Eternal spring”
maybe because of its cold weather.
In Dalat, you can go to many beautiful sight-seeing
such as The Love Valley, The Golden Stream, LangBiang
Highland… or you can take part in a short trip to the village
of ethnic minorities to know more clearly about their lifestyle
and culture.
Every year, Dalat welcome million of tourists from
another places in Viet Nam as different countries. In Dalat, we
are really comfortable after hard working days. In addition,
we can know and understand the lifestyle of different people
here in order to introduce to friends all over the world about
the abundant (

Topic 8: THE PERSON YOU ADMIRE MOST
In everyone life, there are surely many things that are
especially meaningful to them, with one, there is a person that
I never forget. She’s my mother. Why do I admire my mother
most? Now, I would like to tell you about my mother who is
always in my mind.
My mother is a tall and slim woman. She has short
black hair. If she is still alive, she is 70 now, I admire my

mother maybe because of her characteristics, she’s a good
mother a faithful wife and a friendly neighbor, she set a good
example for me and my brothers. She love us very much I had
an unforgettable memory about my mother. Once, I was badly
sick and must be in the hospital, my mother worried a lot. I
was in the hospital about a week and she was always with me,
when I was well and came back home, she was sick. With my
father, my mother was a great friend. They were together for a
long time and educated us to be good people; she was a
friendly neighbor to everyone because of open-hearted and
respectable characteristics.
I can learn a lot of good things from my mother. This is
a person I can share sorrows as well as happiness. She always
gave me good advice to help me to overcome challenges in
my life.
Now, my mother is not still with me any longer. I miss
her so much. If I have a wish, I wish time can come back for
me to say just one sentence “I love you, mom”./.
