I/ INTRODUCTION:
Nowadays English plays an important part in our life because it is the most
international of languages. It not only provides us an access to world scholarship
and world trade but also gives the youth a chance to get a good job and to join the
international activities. Therefore, more and more schools teach English for pupils,
even in primary schools. However, how to draw pupils’ attention, help them study
English in active mood and practice English effectively, flexibly is a very difficult
duty for a teacher. Especially, in remote and mountainous areas the teachers’ duty
is as twice hard as others because the pupils always have to learn English under the
difficult conditions and with very little opportunity to meet native English
speakers, and not access to modern up-to-date materials. Being a teacher in one of
these areas, I try my best not only to collect some games to draw pupils’s attraction
but also to help pupils study English better under such a bad condition by using

III/ CONCLUSION:
In remote and mountainous areas, especially, in private schools teachers face to
particular problems with large classes, weak pupils, limited resources, and old
fashioned textbooks, which make many of the new methods in teaching difficult to
use effectively. Pupils are dependent on teachers and remain PASSIVE
LEARNERS. They will not really learn to speak English, but only to reproduce
artificial language in the classroom. Pupils read the passages aloud from the books,
repeat long dialogues in a mechanical way and learn language off-by - heart,
without always knowing the meaning of what they are saying or how to use the
language in a REAL SITUATION. However, by the teachers’ effort, by making
some small changes such as using some games in the classrooms, teachers can help
the English language come alive for their pupils and slowly move away from a
teacher- centered traditional approach. Pupils learn to work independently and
think for themselves. They are encouraged to speak to each other in English, give
real information about their lives and express their own opinions and ideas. Pupils
learn to speak the language through doing.
