1. Warm-up: eliciting (15’)
-T asks Ss to recall interrogative words as
many as possible.
- Ss discuss in pairs and answer.
- T gives feedback.
2. Reviewing:

* who, whom, what, which, where, when,
why, how:
- How long: ask for time
- How far: ask for distance
- How many + countable N (plural)
How much + uncountable N
- How + Adj
* “to be”:
Wh- + be + S (+ …)?
Ex: What is your name? – My name is A.
* Modal verbs: can, could, will, would,
shall, should, may, might, must, ought to
Wh- + Modal V + S + V (+ …)?
Ex: How many languages can you speak? – 3.
* Ordinary verbs:
Wh- + do/does/did + S + V (+ …)?
Ex: Where did you go yesterday?
I went to the bookstore.

1. After some verbs such as: love, enjoy,
mind, can’t stand, practice, suggest, keep,
regret, fancy, finish, avoid, carry on,
consider, miss …
Ex: - I enjoy playing soccer.
My uncle kept talking about his farm life.
2. After prepositions: in, on, at, of, for...
Ex: The children are interested in playing
soccer.
He has the trouble with doing this research.
b. To-Infinitive (to-V): (for the next period)
Homework
- T asks Ss to learn by hearts all verbs
mentioned above and prepare for the next
period.
- Ss do the task assigned at home.
Ss practice more exercise at home to master
the rule and learn by heart all verbs
mentioned above.
