Lesson 1: A1 - 3
I/ Objectives
- After the lesson students will be able to understand teacher's commands and
practise doing them in real situations
- Vocabulary: come in, sit down,open your book, close your book, stand up
- Lexical items: Imperatives ( common classroom expression)
- Skills developed : Speaking , listening, and writing.
II/ Preparation
- Materials: Text book, work book and lesson plan
- Equipments: cassette, tape, pictures
III/ Teaching process:
1/ Class organization.
2/ Oral test: 2 Ss greet each other then talk about age and health
3/ New lesson:
A/ Warn up .

B/ Presentation:
1/Introduction.
2/ Vocabulary.
T lets Ss guess the teacher’s commands in pictures

+T gives the vocabulary and explains commands by gestures

C/ Practice.
1/ Listen and repeat. Then practise (A1)
+ Teacher says imperatives - Ss do as directed
T asks one student to give commands for the rest to follow. T calls a good student
to gesture with his hands and the rest say in English.
2/ Matching: A2 (p21) _ T explains the way to do after showing the pictures

Period 8: Unit2 : At School
Lesson 2: B1-3
I/ Objectives:
- After the lesson students will be able to talk about their persional
information: place they live, name, age by asking and answering questioning
- Vocabulary: you- your, I - My, Where, live, do

- Lexical items: To live/ in a house, on a street, in a city, The present
simple tense express the things never change
- Structures : Review: -What's your name? How old are you?
New structures A : Where do you live?
B : I live on / in Tran Phu street/a house
II/ Preparation
- Materials: Text book, work book and lesson plan
- Equipments: cassette, tape, picture
III/ Teaching process:
1/ Class organization.
2/ Oral test: + 2 Ss do exercises section A ( Work book), write the newwords
+ The rest repeat the learnt imperatives
3/ New lesson B1-3
A/ Warn up . T lets Ss talk about the places where they live
B/ Presentation:
1/Introduction. Introduce the lesson by using picture. T lets Ss guess what people
usually ask when they first meet
2/ Vocabulary. Use the pictures to teach these words

3/ Task setting - Look at the picture on the blackboard
- Listen and try to get the information
- Pre listening questions:

1/ Listen and repeat. ( B1- p23)
T gets Ss to repeat the way to ask and answer about the place they live after
listening to the tape.
T reads first and Ss repeat in chorus.
* Practise in pairs A: Where do you live?
B: I live in a house. On Tran Phu street.
* Word cue drill: Ss use word cards to practice in pairs

Ss read the poem after the tape, paying attention to the rhythm

B/ Presentation:
1/Introduction.
3/ Task setting.: T introduces the situation in the picture. Ss repeat the way to ask
some one’s name. T writes on the board and Ss repeat . Ss listen and repeat: How
do you spell it?
T writes and explains its meaning
C/ Practice.
1/ Listen and repeat. ( B4 -p25)
Ss practice the dialogue ( role play) and practice speaking on their own
Word cue drill : Students write their own names on cards to make the cues
for the drill.
