TOEIC - NGỮ PHÁP TIẾNG ANH TÓM LƯỢC – BÀI 4

Trong tiết học này chúng ta sẽ học tiếp 4 thì cơ bản trong tiếng Anh tiếp theo bài trước:
+ Thì quá khứ đơn
+ Thì quá khứ tiếp diễn
+ Thì quá khứ hoàn thành
+ Thì quá khứ hoàn thành tiếp diễn
Vẫn như bài trước, chúng ta sẽ có phần luyện tập sau mỗi phần.
V. Simple past tense (thì quá khứ đơn):
a. Usage(cách dùng):
1. Diễn tả môt hành động đã xảy ra và chấm dứt tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ có
kèm adv of past time.
Ex: We went to the cinema last night.
2. Kể lại một chuỗi hành động xảy ra liên tục trong quá khứ. Thông thường dùng để kể chuyện.
Ex: We spent next three hours talking and drinking coffee; then I had to hurry off to catch the
last bus. I missed it by a few minutes, and I had a five – mile walk back home.
3. Diễn tả một thói quen ở quá khứ.
Ex: My grandparent usually drank a glass of milk before bedtime when he was alive.
* Note: Cách dùng này thường thay bằng used to (đã từng) + V- inf (động từ nguyên mẫu)

c. Adverbs(các trạng từ cần nhớ):

: trong quá khứ

* Notes (chú ý):
1. Động từ V2 xem bảng động từ bất qui tắc cột V2.
2. Động từ Ved (có qui tắc). Chúng ta thêm ed có các trường hợp sau:
a. Động từ tận cùng là E ta chỉ thêm D.
Ex: hope →hoped

b. Động từ tận cùng là một phụ âm trước nó là một nguyên âm ta gấp đôi phụ âm trước khi
thêm ED.
Ex: stop → stopped
c. Động từ tận cùng là W,Y,Z & X chúng ta không gấp đôi.
Ex: plow→plowed; Snow → snowed
d. Động từ có 2 âm tiết cần lưu ý:
Ex: listen→´listened (nhấn vần đầu không gấp đôi);
Ex: prefer→ pre’ferred (nhấn vần thứ hai thì gấp đôi)
3. Động từ tận cùng bằng chữ Y có 2 trường hợp.
a. Nếu trước Y là 1 nguyên âm ta thêm ED bình thường.
Ex: play→ played
b. Nếu trước Y là 1 phụ âm ta đổi Y = I + ED
Ex: try→tried
