Lesson 1: Getting Started - Listen & Read
I.Aims and objectives:
- Helping ss to understand the content of the dialogue about the situations
which required first aid and new structure.
- Vocabulary: an ambulance, the emergency, (to) bleed- bled- bled, (to) put
pressure
- Skill:

+ Target skill: Speaking
+ Other skills: Reading ,listening, writing.

- Main teaching points: +To help ss to understand for details of the dialogue, in
order to/so as to for purposes and will to make requests,offers and promises
-By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the dialogue & how to use
in order to/so as to for purposes and will to make requests,offers and promises
fluently & correctly.
II. Teaching aids:
-Teacher: Textbook, disc, poster….
- Ss: textbook, schoolthings
III. Procedures:
1.Check up: (3’)
Ask two ss to write form of present progressive tense with the verbs get and
become & give example


2. Lead in:(2’)
* Discussion:
Look at the pictures and discuss what they would do in these situation which
require first aid.(p80)


- Give instructions
- Call on some groups to give their answers
- T gives the correct answers

- Helping ss listen for specific information & practice speaking strucrtures: make
and respond to requests, offers and promises
- Vocabulary: victim, (to) lie flat, eye chart, wheel chair, , crutch, stretcher

+ Target skills: Listening & speaking
+ Other skills: Reading, writing

-Main teaching points: + Help Ss to practice in making and respoding to offers,
promises, and requests.
-Listen to complete the details.
- By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to understand the main idea, making and
respoding to offers, promises, and requests fluently & improve their listening &
speaking skills

- Helping ss read the instructions about some more situations requiring first-aid.
- Vocabulary: (to) lie flat (adj),(to) elevate, a victim, (to) lower, the tissue damage,
(to) overheat, (to) ease
- Skill

+ Target skill: Reading
+ Other skills: Listening, speaking, writing

- Main teaching points: Reading the instructions about some more situations
requiring first-aid
- By the end of the lesson ,Ss will be able to understand the vocabulary, the
content of the text, use "in order to and so as to" to indicate purposes.
II. Teaching aids:

- Ss: Textbook, schoolthings
III. Procedures:

- Main teaching points: To introduce to ss how to write a thank-you note
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the vocabulary,
how to write a thank-you note fluently & correctly& develpoe their
writing skill.

- Ss: Textbook, schoolthings
III. Procedures:
