The past Progressive

I- Structure:
1-The affirmative form :
Subject +“be” (past) + verb + ing.

• I was running fast.
• He was watching TV.
• She was doing her homework.
• It was snowing.
• You were laughing.
• We were playing football.

2-The negative form :
Subject +“be” (past) + not + verb + ing .

• I was not running fast.
• He was not watching TV.
• She was not doing her homework.
• It was not snowing.
• You were not laughing.

• We were not playing football.
• They were not exercising.

3-The interrogative form :
“be” (past) + subject + verb + ing.

• Was I running fast?
• Was he watching TV?
• Was she doing her homework?
• Was it snowing?
• Were you laughing?
• Were we playing football?
• Were they exercising?
