Dear Student,
Welcome back to school! Welcome to (name) High School! Let me introduce
myself in a few words. My name is ...........and I will be your English teacher this
year. I’m married and I have two children, two daughters: one is 10 years old,
the other is 5.And you? How old are you?
I live in ..........., so it doesn’t take me too much time to come to school. What
about you? I would like to know you a little bit more: what you like, what you
don’t like, what your hobbies are, your plans for the future, your family (your
parents’ jobs, if you have brothers and sisters, how old they are), what your
favourite subjects are at school but also your least favourite subjects… When I
was in high school, my least favourite subject was Physics, I remember I didn’t
like it. I loved languages, especially English. I studied German and Spanish too. I
hope you like English. Tell me what you find easy in English and what you find
difficult. If I know what your problems are, then I will be able to help you. Have
you ever been to an English-speaking country? Which one and for how long? Was
it a good experience?
You know, it’s not that I want to know about your private life, it’s just that I
would like you to spend a very good year here in our school and in the English
class more particularly.
