St. Valentine is a celebration of romance and love. This holiday comes from an ancient
Roman festival called the feast of Lupercalia after a Roman called St. Valentine who was
martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14 th, and the date was set

became the date for exchanging love letters or messages and for sending flowers (unusually

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to
- talk about their own background and know how to ask for other people’s background.
- improve background knowledge about famous scientists especially about Marie Curie
II. TEACHING AIDS: Textbook, photos of some famous persons or some real information
about someone to speak
III. TEACHING METHODS - Integrate, mainly communicatives
IV. PROCEDURE:
1.Class organization: Greeting, checking P’s attendance
2.Checking : write vocabs of previous period.

- Ask students to close the book
