Tet is one of the most important traditional
holidays in our country. It celebrates the
Lunar Year. Tet starts on the first day of
the lunar year, however people always
prepare for it well in advance. The house is
usually cleaned and decorated with
beautiful things such as flowers and
pictures. Peach flowers and kumquat trees
are very typical at Tet. Almost every house
has at least either peach flowers or
kumquat trees, some even have both in
their houses at Tet. During Tet people
enjoy traditional foods such as Banh
Chung, fruit jam,...On the first day of the
Lunar New Year, people often go to
pagodas or church then they visit their
relatives...
