Advancements in technology have changed various fields, particularly in educational system.
However, many people argue that school should continue to focus on traditional subjects to
instruct their students. Other people believe that schools should bring about changes in their
curriculum. In my view, I totally agree that traditional subjects could not fulfill the realistic
demands of the modern world for the following reasons.
To begin with, I think that traditional subjects could not provide enough updated materials
and knowledge for students. Many schools still remain traditional teaching methods
regardless of the fact that our society has developed in leaps and bounds. More specifically,
there are tons of new devices manufactured and technologies introduced every day. It
requires teachers to innovate the way of teaching in order to keep up with the current trends
in modern life. One possible solution is for schools to hold as many outdoor courses as
possible instead of letting students stay in classrooms.

Furthermore, I believe that teaching applicable subjects is definitely the great preparation for
students to meet the demands of the twenty-first century. Other people claim that traditional
subjects are effective ways to maintain the customs and values in a nation and in the world.
Nevertheless, learning materials are old and could not fulfill students’ needs. Thus, the
obvious answer is for schools to widen various course choices. By doing this, students could
choose the subjects that they are most enthusiastic about.
In conclusion, schools should make efforts to replace certain old subjects with more practical
ones so that students could have a long-term and feasible plan from a very young age.

Computers are an important tool in modern life. Some schools encourage their
students to use computers in learning while some parents think that this device will have a
negative effect on the physical and mental health of their children. Personally, I think that
using computers in schools has not only advantages but also disadvantages.
Computers have many benefits as they can help children learn more effectively. First of all,
thanks to computers, children are provided with various ways to study and relax themselves.

They could conduct research on any issues with the help of internet and work with the huge
data and knowledge on it. For example, they could find all the necessary information quickly
on websites such as google or bing to support their studying at schools. Furthermore, they
could also learn online and this certainly saves them a lot of time and money. Besides, to
refill the energy for the next lessons, they would have more choices of entertainment such as
listening to music, playing games and reading e-books in their free time.
However, using computers too much also brings about certain disadvantages. To begin with,
computers are causes of problems affecting the children’s physical development. It is clear
that spending time in front of the computer could lead to less time for other outdoor activities.
As a result, they are likely to suffer from some ailments such as short-sightedness and

obesity. Moreover, computers also have an adverse impact on children’s mental health
because of some violent or sexual content usually appearing in some games and black
websites. Consequently, children may develop some bad ways of thinking and behaviours.
To sum up, computers are a blessing that makes life more comfortable. Despite a number of
drawbacks it brings, I still believe that computers are greatly beneficial when children use
them for the right purpose.

The overconsumption of natural resources has become a major topic of concern in
recent years. Apparently, humans are facing serious impacts resulting from this overexploitation. In this essay, I will examine the impacts of and solutions to this phenomenon.
As a matter of fact, the over-exploitation of natural resources such as coal, oil and natural
gas could result in the lack of energies in the near future. Therefore, it has a direct effect on
people’s life since the prices of these resources can be on a continuous rise. In addition,

many people today cut down forests for construction materials, thus the overconsumption of
wood could also give rise to the destruction of rainforests. This not only threatens the natural

habitats but also contribute to the climate change. More importantly, many countries have to
encounter the scarcity of natural resources causing the economic stagnation in many
countries and this would pose a threat to the employment of workers.
In my opinion, there are some solutions that could mitigate these hazardous problems. First
of all, the government should conduct propaganda campaigns to raise the social awareness
of energy consumption through media channels. Besides, I think another feasible solution is
for the government agencies to promulgate new regulations and policies to protect the
natural resources. Finally, individuals should lower their demands for energies in every
household and reduce the dependence on traditional energy sources and switch to other
alternative sources including wind, water and nuclear power.
To sum up, the overconsumption of natural resources certainly makes harm to human lives.
Therefore, each of us need to understand the importance as well as the urgency to use
alternative sources.

Giving help is always a good thing. Argument can be made that rich countries should
offer support to poorer countries by providing food or teaching. In my point of view, poor
nations should stand on their own feet because of three following reasons.
The first reason is that poor countries will have a heavy dependence on rich ones. I think the
most effective solution is for these nations to make use of their own natural resources and
accumulate funds. Thanks to these funds, every government could take care of the citizens
on their own. For example, governments should provide their people with free medical
services and food in order to create and maintain healthy life. In a word, they should not
depend on any nations.
The second reason is that prosperous nations have to serve their citizens first. Sometimes,
they do not want to waste resources on poor countries to help them with economic
development. Instead of assisting other nations, they should invest more in fields which are
believed to be not strong enough. By doing this, wealthy countries will be more and more
developed.

The final reason is that prosperous nations will have political interferences in the countries
that they help. They might take advantage of their wealth to demand unreasonable rights
from poor nations. Undeniably, this is a huge disadvantage for countries which desire to
advance independently.
In conclusion, providing food and education is not the compulsory responsibility of the
governments of wealthy countries. Therefore, underdeveloped and developing countries
need to look after themselves and set up their own strategies.

It goes without saying that university qualifications open up a wealth of opportunities
for students. However, some people hold that vocational training will help learners become
skilled workers making huge contributions to their countries. From my perspective, the
employees receiving tertiary education will seize more merits than others.

Like everything on earth, both academic studying and vocational training encompass the
pluses and minuses. In a competitive market, job seekers with recognized qualifications
would have a head start over other applicants and be more capable of getting managerial
positions in large firms with the aid of academic knowledge and skills gained from
universities. While most of higher education programs require more time and tuition, students
doing vocational training possess valuable experience and hands-on skills in specific fields
and this helps them jump at job opportunities easily after finishing two-year training.
However, vocational training is more likely to turn students into blue-collar workers and this
leads to jobs with low remunerations and uncomfortable working environment.
It is universally accepted that vocational programs allows students to save a significant
amount of learning time and related costs and take a job in no time after graduation.
Nonetheless, I still put more weight on tertiary education than vocational training. More
specifically, university students could become white-collar employees and they will stand

numerous chances of having well-paid jobs and being certain about occupational stability.
Therefore, they would have more resources to enjoy higher living standards and win the
respect of others in the society.
In conclusion, I hold the view that higher education programs have profound benefits that
bring students more chances to follow their dreams. Nevertheless, government agencies
should impose practical policies to balance the two kinds of educational system.

It is noticeable that traffic and housing issues have become increasingly debatable in many
parts of the world. Many people think that, in order to tackle the above issues, large firms
and manufacturers should move to the rural regions. In my opinion, I totally agree with this
proposal because of the following reasons.
With respect to traffic issues, it is obvious that the more huge companies are located in
urban areas, the more people migrate to these areas so as to pursue job opportunities and
seek higher living standards. Hence, when these corporations are set up in the countryside,
the number of immigrants to cities will experience a significant reduction. As a result, there
will be an enormous decrease in the traffic level in urban regions when means of transport
are used by less people. In addition, pollution caused by heavy traffic will also be handled
effectively as cars will move to the countryside.
Turning to housing problems, moving enterprises and their labor force to rural areas could
help ease the demand for living spaces. As a result, house prices will fall and citizens will
have more choices of accommodation within their budget. It is expected that narrow but
expensive houses will be replaced with spacious but cheap ones. Furthermore, this solution
could also lead to a decrease in homeless people as well as social evils.
In conclusion, large firms, factories and their staff should be settled in rural regions. For this
to be done, the government needs to implement practical policies to encourage these
companies to move out of cities.

These days, many people think that studying abroad could make their future
brighter. As a matter of fact, the existing students have more opportunities to
study abroad than those in the past. In my opinion, learning overseas has both
advantages and disadvantages.
Studying abroad consists of many benefits for students. Firstly, they can gain
many unforgettable experiences. For example, they can meet many foreigners
from different places in the world and make life-long bonds and friendships.
Secondly, it is easy for students to receive good education such as earning
prestigious degrees or getting sufficient skills to boost their resumes. The
knowledge that they acquire from reputed universities or colleges would certain
open numerous doors to jobs and chances of promotion. In addition, in some
developing countries, parents have something to take pride in when their children
study abroad.
On the other hand, learning in another country also brings about certain
disadvantages. Just like everything else, students who are studying abroad have
to pay many anticipated expenses including living expenses, travelling costs and
some other fees. They also have to face some problems like illnesses or
accidents and they do not know what to do when they are far from home. In such
a case, you have to learn how to take care of yourself and deal with problems.

In conclusion, although studying abroad gets many disadvantages, one major
advantage is the independent lifestyle that students can lead. Therefore, I think if
there is any chance provided, students should grab it right away and have a try.

Nowadays, students have the right to make comments on their teachers after each

semester. Some people think that this way will lead to their disrespect in the classroom;
however, in my opinion, it could be a good way to enhance the educational system. In this
essay, I will discuss both sides of this issue.
On the one hand, some people believe that students should not criticize their teachers due to
some sensitive reasons. One reason is that the relationship between teachers and students
can be worse as many teachers will feel that their efforts in delivering lessons deserve
praises rather than criticism. As a result, they could be vulnerable to the negative words of
students. Furthermore, this could lead to the teachers’ loss of enthusiasm in teaching.
On the other hand, making comments on teachers have certain benefits. To begin with,
some teachers have teaching methods which are not appropriate to students’ learning;
therefore, students should have the freedom in making comments on their teachers. By
doing this, teachers will know the reasons why their students do not understand their lectures
and handle these problems as soon as possible in order to give better lessons in the future.
Moreover, basing on the students’ ideas, teachers can figure out effective ways to make their
lectures appealing and they can attract students’ attention. Take history subject as an
example, teachers should organize trips to museums as well as providing historical videos
instead of letting students sitting in classes and learning everything by heart.
In conclusion, making comments is good not only for students but also for teachers.
However, students have to use polite words for their teachers.

Nowadays, surfing the Internet has become a must-do thing as many parts of our life are
linked to the Internet. It not only helps a person relax but also bring many other benefits.
However, Internet also causes certain problems. This essay will discuss the benefits and
problems of the Internet that a user faces.
The Internet has many advantages. First of all, the Internet is flooded with information about
everything as this is easier for internet users to find information. As an illustration, you can
access various websites which are relevant to your working and studying to improve your

knowledge. You can also get the latest news at a click of a button. In addition, the Internet
has made it easy for people to communicate with others because it is cheap and convenient
and you just have to pay the internet service provider a small amount of money. If you want
to talk to someone in another part of the globe, you can use communication applications
such as Tango, Skype, Viber... Furthermore, the Internet is also an entertainment medium
for most people. This is of the the major reasons why many people enjoy surfing the Internet
to watch movies, listen to music or even shop online.
On the other hand, the Internet also brings about a lot of disadvantages. Just like everything
else, people also get addicted to the Internet as users can waste a huge amount of time
because they always chat on facebook and play games. Besides, the Internet has negative
effects on family communication when family members just focus on the laptops or mobile
phones without personal communication.
In conclusion, although the Internet has some negative impacts on the users, it helps most of
people in working and learning. Therefore, I believe that the merits brought by the Internet
are still greater than its demerits.

These days, solving poverty-related problems is now becoming topical. Some people think
that the government is focusing too much on festivals to get profits. Others believe that the
funding should be given to poor families. I totally agree with the latter statement for the
following reasons.
With regard to the first reason, education has played a vital role in life, especially for the
poor. Poor parents do not have enough money to pay tuitions for their children. I think the
most obvious solution is to give scholarships or financial support to poor children in order to
help them pursue their schooling. As a result, children who are well-educated would become
good citizens and make positive contributions to the society.
In addition, many people say a sound mind lives in a sound body. If people would like to fulfill
their dreams, they really need good health so healthcare services become increasingly

essential. The aim of some nations offering part of their revenue to deal with poverty is to
enhance the living standard. Therefore, another option is to build more hospitals and medical
stations. By doing this, poor people could receive satisfactory medical treatment and save
money to start up their businesses and take good care of their children to enable them to
grow normally.
In conclusion, in my viewpoint, governments should invest a certain amount of revenue in
poor families in order to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. Those things would
make them have more motivation in working and come up with positive contributions to their
countries.

It is a matter of fact that no two persons are exactly the same. Some people think that they
should listen to the wisdom of their families and friend in case of facing problems. However,
some others believe that personal experience is the best way to learn about life. In my view,
these two issues have both merits and demerits and I agree that people should learn about
life through personal experience.
It is obvious that people getting knowledge from their families and friends have certain
benefits and drawbacks. A good point is that people could learn a lot from their families’ and
friends’ mistakes before they decide to do something. A bad point is that people cannot
develop independent skills. In fact, they just listen and follow in other people’s footsteps. As
regards the tendency of learning about life through personal experience, there are pros and
cons. Particularly, people will become more mature from their meaningful experiences
whereas as they will also have to suffer the consequences of what they have done in some
cases.

It cannot be denied that listening to the advice of families and friends make people feel more
confident and stronger while it is a cause which makes people become passive in certain
situations. To be more specific, if they do not have families’ help, they will become

powerless. Hence, I still believe that people will be better and more grown-up if they face a
lot of problems and resolve them by themselves.
In conclusion, I think that learning about life by listening to the advice of families and friends
or through personal experience have their own advantages. However, I still enjoy the latter
because of its obvious benefits.

It is an obvious fact that the earth is ours. Actually, our earth needs keeping
and protecting. However, some people think that ordinary men could do
little to solve environmental problems and governments and large companies
should be in charge of coping with such issues. In my opinion, I agree that
every people and organization must take their own part.
To begin with, governments and large firms should take an active role in
dealing with environment-related issues. To be more specific, they ought to
instill the environmental awareness into the general public. For example, the
natural law of cause and effect should be emphasized before residents do

something harmful to the environment. Besides, obviously, there is an
enormous amount of toxic waste dumped or emitted into the air and rivers
from factories on a daily basis. Take the serious case in Ha Tinh province as
an example; tons of fish have died of the poisonous waste from the industrial
zone. Therefore, companies’ awareness needs to be improved in order to be
more responsible for environmental issues.
Notwithstanding the mentioned points, ordinary people are also responsible
for these issues. In other words, each individual has to protect their own
living space merely because the government and companies have little role
in this. In addition, people living in rural areas are not fully aware of wildlife
conservation. Their hunting and trapping endangered species are causing a

huge damage to the ecological balance.
In conclusion, I personally think that not only are governments and
companies in charge of solving environment-related issue, but everyone
should also have their own obligation.

It is undeniable that our society has developed in leaps and bounds over the past few
decades. People living in the twenty-first century have more opportunities to make positive
changes to the world. In my opinion, I totally agree with this statement because of the
following reasons.
Technology has played a vital role in our modern lives. Firstly, computers could enable us to
make progresses in learning. Instead of spending too much time looking for data from a pile
of books, people easily search for a large amount of information on the internet. By doing

this, people not only save time but also broaden their knowledge. Secondly, people regard
smart phones as useful devices to keep in touch with others all over the world these days.
Last but not least, robots are sure to be the most technological development that was out of
the question in the past. These robots are capable of substituting people in doing chores and
they even have the ability to take care of humans.
Besides, living in modern lives will provide immense advances in healthcare services for
humans. It is necessary to establish more hospitals with upgraded facilities which could
enable patients to receive advanced treatment in case of suffering from serious diseases
such as lung cancer, pneumonia and the likes. In addition, doctors and nurses need to
cultivate their capacity in developed countries where they could stand a chance of
approaching the latest scientific methods. As a result, doctors will have the ability to invent
new medicine which can treat incurable diseases like cancer.
In conclusion, people living in the twenty-first century have more chances of improving their
lives. Personally, I hold the belief that all of us should put more efforts to make the world

better.

Choosing a good career becomes one of the significant things of lots of
people these days. Some people claim that parents should choose a job for
their children. In my viewpoint, young generation had better find jobs
meeting their own ability and expectation
No one can deny that parents have plenty of experience in deciding a job for
their children. In addition, they have sufficiently financial resources to
enable children to find jobs or run their own businesses; however, parents do
not actually understand their children’s thoughts and needs. An
inappropriate job could make them feel uncomfortable and work
ineffectively. Nevertheless, there are still some risks when the young
generation chooses a job by themselves. They just have their first contact
with the working environment so that they do not get enough experience to
decide on the right job as well as lacking finance to run their own
businesses. On the other hand, young people know exactly what their
strengths and weaknesses are in order to make efforts in a job. Therefore,

they will be enthusiastic about and interested in working and this will bring
them successes and promotion prospects.
In fact, there are certain benefits when parents assist children in job
selection. They possess a lot of relationships which enable their children
reach a job more easily; however, they sometimes do not know their
children’s ability. Moreover, in such a case, children who have no passion
for their career would be bored and even decide to give up. I still believe that
the young generation should look for jobs on their own. When they work in
a suitable environment, they would do it efficiently and gain interest in

working. Besides, they could improve their skills and career prospects.
In conclusion, children should get their jobs without too much parental help
because they will be frustrated to be forced to develop in a prearranged
direction.

DICUSSS

These days, having a good job becomes the significant objective of many
people. Some of them argue that people should devote their whole life to the
same company. However, I find that it is more interesting and challenging
when people work for various organizations.
No one can deny the fact that working for only one organization would make
employees have plenty of opportunities to enhance their career prospects.
Furthermore, there are more job bonuses and incentives when people keep
the job for a long time. However, in some cases, it is also boring and they
must get stuck doing the same things everyday. As regards jumping jobs,
although individuals could face new challenges, they are capable of
accumulating more experience and having wide relationships which could
support them in dealing with many problematic situations in their work as
well as life.
It is obvious that people working for the same organization in their working
life would have flexible time so they could make full use of their free time to
take care of their families. On the other hand, I still believe that people are
willing to work for different companies because it brings a wide range of
benefits. For instance, young people have a tendency to experience a variety
of jobs to understand their strengths and weaknesses. By doing this, they
