Scan the pictures of 8 animals from the book
and cut the names of the animals out
Hang the pictures on the board and give SS a
set of paper bearing the names of these
animals, ask SS to match the names with the
appropriate animals
Have SS speak out the names of the animals


Leave the names of the animals away and ask
SS to name the animals again
-Assign SS to match each noun in A with a
suitable definition in B
-In order to make it easy for SS to do this task,
ask them to give the Vietnamese equivalence
to these words first, and then study each
definition to know what it is about and decide

representative from group A the picture of a panda,
group B the picture of a rhino, group C the picture
of a tiger and group D the picture of an elephant. He
or she has to give information about the animal and
his or her group have to draw it out. The group with
the best drawing win the game
Have SS work in pairs, talking about these animals,

using the questions
How do call these animals in English?
Where does each of them live?
Which animal can be used as pet or for food or for
medicine?
