- Divide the class into 2 teams.
- Ask Sts from each team to go the board and write down the
correct words wins the game>
Set the scene: “Tim Jones’s Mexican pen pal,Carlos is
visiting the USA.”
- Ask Sts to look at the pictures and tell the class what there is in
each one. Where the place is, what the people are doing.
* Open predictions:
- Tell Sts that Tim is taking Carlos to visit some places. Ask
them to think of three things that Tim and Carlos are doing.
* Possible answers:

2 They are taking a bus
3 They are going to the restaurant
- Ask Sts to listen to the tape to check their guesses.

* Hangman:
- Draw strokes on the board. Each stroke stands for a letter of the
word.
- Sts take turn to guess is not right, the teacher draws a stroke
(according to the order in the picture)
- If Sts guess wrong eight times, they lose. Teacher gives the
answer.
- The word has ……..letter. It is MALAYSIA.
- Ask Sts what they know about MALAYSIA
