- 304 BC – 232 BC
- In the time of Maurya Empire.
- One of 101 princes of King Bindusara.
- As sharp as a needle
- After his father’s death -> Sumima come into power.
- Helped of Prime Minister Rafdhagypta -> Ashoka come into power.
From a cruel king became a benevolent king.
Esteemed and supported by the people.
One of the most famous kings in India.

- Ashoka, the third king of Mauryan dynasty, became one of
the most exemplary ruler in history.
- Depending on the translations made before, the present
explanations have given us a deeper and more general look
on his effort in ruling system to establish an empire based
on justice, moral spirit and social welfare of his people.
That was Ashoka’s main attention.
