- Throught this lesson Ss can practise the writing and speaking skills
B. GRAMMAR:
The present progressive tense: (Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn)
1. Form:

S + am / is / are + V- ing + ….
Ex: I am teaching English.
She is playing computer games.
2. Cách thêm “ing” vào sau động từ:
- Thông thường
+ ing
EX: playing, reading
- Tận cùng là nguyên âm Gấp đôi phụ âm + EX: running
+ phụ âm
ing
EX: live → living
- Tận cùng là “e”
bỏ e rồi + ing
EX: lie → lying
- Tận cùng là ie
đổi ie → y + ing
3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết:
- Now, right now, just now
- at the moment, at this time, at present
- Look!, Listen!, Be quiet!.....
- Where + be + S? – S + be + V-ing + O.
4. Use: Diễn tả một sự việc đang xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc đang xảy ra vào lúc đang nói ở hiện tại.
Trong câu thường có các trạng từ chỉ thời gian như now (bây giờ), at present, at the moment
(hiện giờ, vào lúc này) thường nằm ở cuối câu.
Ex: The farmers are working in the fields now.

I. Danh từ (Nouns):
1. Định nghĩa: Danh từ là những từ dùng để chỉ sự vật, sự việc hoặc con người.
2. Phân loại danh từ:
- Danh từ đếm được (countable nouns): book, student, table, ...
- Danh từ không đếm được (uncountable nouns): water, grass, information, ....
- Danh từ đơn (simple nouns): war (chiến tranh), bus (xe buýt), ....

3. Chức năng:

a. Bổ nghĩa cho danh từ:

b. Bổ nghĩa cho đại từ: Something new
c. Đứng sau keep / seem/ be/ feel/ look... vàbổ nghĩa cho chủ ngữ;

IV. Trạng từ (Adverbs):
1. Định nghĩa: là những từ dùng để diển tả tính cách, đặc tính, mức độ, ... và được dùng để
bổ nghĩa cho động từ, tính từ, trạng từ khác hoặc cho cả câu.
2. Phân loại:
a. Trạng từ chỉ thể cách: well, carefully, quickly, hard, fast
b. Trạng từ chỉ thời gian: early/ late / yet/ now, today, yesterday, before, after,
tomorrow...
c. Trạng từ chỉ mức độ: too much/ too little/ very / extremely/ a lot / nearly
d. Trạng từ chỉ địa điểm: here/ there/ upstairs/ at home / in the garden...

● Danh từ chung (common nouns)
– Danh từ chung là những danh từ chỉ người, việc và địa điểm
EX: dog, house, picture, computer.
– Danh từ chung có thể được viết dưới hình thức số ít hoặc số nhiều
EX: a dog hoặc dogs
– Danh từ chung không viết hoa chữ cái đầu.
● Danh từ riêng (proper nouns)

– Danh từ riêng là những tên riêng để gọi từng sự vật, đối tượng duy nhất, cá biệt như tên
người, tên địa danh, tên công ty….
EX: Microsoft, Mr. David Green, La Thành street, Greentown Hospital, Town House
Hotel, City Park….
– Chú ý: danh từ riêng phải viết hoa chữ cái đầu.
● Danh từ trừu tượng (abstract nouns)
– Một danh từ trừu tượng là một danh từ chung nhằm gọi tên một ý tưởng hoặc một
phẩm chất. Các danh từ trừu tượng thường không được xem, ngửi, tiếp xúc hoặc nếm.
EX: joy, peace, emotion, wisdom, beauty, courage, love, strength, character,
happiness, personality
– Danh từ trừu tượng có thể ở dạng số ít hoặc số nhiều.
– Danh từ trừu tượng có thể đếm được hoặc không đếm được.
● Danh từ tập thể (collective nouns)
– Một danh từ tập hợp gọi tên một nhóm hay một tập hợp nhiều người, nơi chốn, hoặc đồ
vật
EX: crew, team, navy, republic, nation, federation, herd, bunch, flock, swarm, litter
– Các danh từ tập hợp có thể số ít hoặc số nhiều. Chúng thường đi với các động từ số ít
bởi nhóm này hoạt động cùng nhau dưới hình thức là một đơn vị. Một danh từ tập hợp đi
với một động từ số nhiều khi thành phần của nhóm hoạt động như dưới dạng các cá nhân
EX: Our team is practicing three nights a weeks. (Đội của chúng tôi luyện tập ba đêm
một tuần)
→ Đội đang hoạt động dưới tư cách là một đơn vị

ONE MONEY = một tiền? Không ổn, do đó, MONEY là danh từ không đếm được, ONE
SALT = một muối? Không ổn, do đó, SALT là danh từ không đếm được
2. Số nhiều của danh từ: (plural of noun)
a. Các danh từ tận cùng bằng 1 phụ âm + “O” → thêm “ES” và được đọc là “/z/”
EX: - tomato → tomatoes /z/ (cà chua)
- potato → potatoes /z/ (khoai tây)
* Ngoại lệ: (Chỉ thêm”S” và đọc là “/z/”)
-photo→ photos /z/ (ảnh)
-piano→ pianos /z/ (dương cầm)
-kilo→ kilos /z/ (cân/ kílô)
-dyamo→ dyamos (bộ phận phát điện )
b.Các danh từ tận cùng bằng 1 nguyên âm + “O” → thêm “S” và được đọc là “/z/”
EX: - cuckoo → cuckoos /z/ (chim cúc cu)
- coo→ coos /z/ (tiếng bồ câu gù)
- moo→ moos /z/ (tiếng bò rống)
- studio→ studios /z/ (xưởng phim)

c. Các danh từ tận cùng bằng các chữ: “s”, “x”,”z” “ch”, “sh” →Thêm “ES” và được đọc là

EX: - a class → classes (lớp)
- a box → boxes (hộp)
-a dish→ dishes (dĩa)
- a watch→ watches (đồng hồ đeo tay)
- a waltz → waltzes (điệu nhảy)

d. Các danh từ tận cùng bằng các chữ “CE”, “SE”, “GE” thêm “S” và “ES” cuối được đọc là
“/iz/”
EX: - a piece→ pieces / 'pi:siz/ (miếng)
- an exercise→ exercises (bài tập)
- a house → houses (nhà)
- an orange→ oranges (cam)
e.Các danh từ tận cùng bằng 1 phụ âm + “Y” thì phải đổi “y” → “i” rồi thêm “ES” và chữ
“S” cuối đọc là “/ z /”
EX: - a family→ families (gia đình)
- a secretary → secretaies (thư ký)
- an activity → activities (hoạt động)
f. Các danh từ tận cùng bằng 1 nguyên âm + “Y” thì chỉ thêm “S” và chữ “S” cuối đọc là “/ z

g. Các danh từ tận cùng bằng các chữ “F” và “FE” (Chữ “E” câm) thì phải đổi thành “VES”

A. Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will able to review some sentence
parten and do some more kinds of exercises.
B. GRAMMAR:
1. Articles: Mạo từ
a. A – An: là mạo từ bất định được dùng với danh từ đếm được số ít.
- An được dùng trước từ bắt đầu với một âm nguyên âm.
EX: an archair, an apple.....
- A được dùng trước từ bắt đầu với một âm phụ âm.
EX: a pen, a ruler.............
A và An thường được dùng với danh từ:
o Chỉ một sự vật, một sự việc với nghĩa chung chung, hay giới thiệu, hoặc
một vật hay ý tưởng nói đến đầu tiên.
EX: This is a table.
It’s an apple.
o Chỉ nghề nghiệp ở số ít.
EX: He is a student.
She is a nurse.
o Có nghĩa là một.
EX: There is a book on the table.
I have a new pen.
b. The: là mạo từ xác định, được dùng với danh từ được xác định.
EX: The pupil in the room is in Class 6A
