Tay Phuong Pagoda


• Tay Phuong Pagoda located in Yen Village,Thach Xa
Commune, Thach That District, Hanoi Province and
about 30km from Hanoi City Centre
• Tay Phuong Pagoda was built in the 8th century and
has been restored several times since.In 1794, under
the Tay Son Dynasty, it was completely overhauled
with a new name as "Tay Phuong Co Tu" and
architectural shapes left today.
• Currently, it is managed by the Unified Buddhist
Church of Vietnam and management Committee of
Tay Phuong Pagoda.


In 2015, Tay Phuong Pagoda was recognized as
a special national relic by Ministry of Culture,
Sports and Tourism

over the world. Monuments can only be preserved and passed on to
future generations if it is really useful and has the ability to meet the
needs of use and enjoyment of human diversity in the present time. That
