“Inspire and reinforce knowledge of English lessons by short songs”

I. INTRODUCTION
In the industrialization and modernization of the country , our country is
increasingly integrated into the international economy , the frequent contact with
foreigners more and more . English is the international language used widely
around the world to help the nations to understand each other better . Because of
that reason , English has been taught in schools across the country . Thankfully,
rather than primary school English teaching is included with many textbooks
mass by the Ministry of Education and Training expertise has helped elementary
students acquainted with the English language .
Although English is the primary electives . It has important properties
beginning in the next school year in Secondary school . So it holds a significant
role in the learning process of the children . It equips them vocabulary ,
grammar and simple basic close sentence patterns about the topics that are their
favorite, is the point of introducing all relatives , friends school topics , family
topics , and other topics (the world around us). Therefore, to inspire and
reinforce students’ knowledge is an extremely important work. Because this
affects a lot more motivated students , a basic factor to impact the process of
learning a language : Children will not learn without motivation - and the
consolidation of knowledge also inculcate over the corpus of the lessons learned
in a systematic way , as a solid foundation to help them learn better , more
confident in the learning process later .
It is not easy for students to get best result. So how do they form and
develop learning skills most comprehensive ? How to make students love and
engrave foreign cultures? In any way to help students understand that not all
solid boring , to truly charismatic , playful atmosphere in class comfort , inspire
students to absorb foreign culture that they themselves not know anything .
Today on the mass media appears a lot of games to attract television
audiences , especially young audiences , such as pupils, students .

All games , music and television programs , if asked : " Tell me the name
of the game , the television music show that you know ? " They will answer rim
wall as Music for kids , DOREMI , Golden dragon , Garden music , how to sing,
and recently the program The Voice Kids...So here we are the most loyal
audience .
With so many reasons , efforts by many teachers and students . I tried to
compose a short song tone fun easy to imitate and then incorporated into a
number of questions , some of which they have learned to teach the children had
fun learning to sing . Unexpectedly, the children enjoyed singing and sang so
boldly , more open , not shy anymore , they also actively participate in lessons
more , in recent years much progress students in language courses brother . But
the results are not really high , but the first step to help me progress more
excitement in their work. After class , a very interesting thing is I 've caught
them singing short songs clam clams that were new words into my cage . Indeed
, it was a success .
So this year , I decided on the topic " Inspire and reinforce knowledge of
English lessons by short songs " and please note that these are my little
experience , it can not new but I 've done and have some relative results . We
hope that these experiences contribute to complement and enrich the teaching
method of his colleagues .

II . SOLVING PROBLEM
1 . Theoretical basis :
The views of the Party and the State have determined goals of education is
to train people to meet the comprehensive requirements of the country industrialization and modernization. In particular , foreign language - English is
one language serves as a means of actively supporting the most efficient process
of deeper integration of the country . So improving the quality of education in
general and the quality of English in particular is one of the top concerns of
today's education . And it is more strongly impressed the audience were students
at the primary level - beginner's approach to foreign language .
- To carry out this objective should be supported by the Party , the
government, the education sector ,especially the team of teachers, parents and
students to contribute.
- Currently the distraction condition , students learned to cope without self
rote learning , many poor students . How to overcome this ? How to attract
students to focus on learning as the problem requires educators , and passionate
teachers , school pedagogical council primary concern , always working hard to
plan , programs , forms , methods to improve teaching and learning better ,
improve the quality and efficiency of education .
2 . The actual situation :
- The majority of students are not paying attention and investment in foreign
languages , prepare a sketchy way , to deal in very weak when they learn this
subject . Since then , they have some sick psychological study of English .

During school hours , the majority of them are usually passive , lack of
flexibility , problems reading - English-speaking and participating at speaking
lesson to learn .
- Elementary school students are the children , the level of their awareness is
low , the quality of academic disciplines asynchronous . In addition , students in
rural areas less familiar way old school read age-appropriate books to fascinate

additional accommodation , improve their knowledge . At the same time this is
the first year to become familiar with a foreign language , while still having a

- Moreover, English is the only primary electives , so students themselves and
even parents are not interested in this subject , they only invest in raising their
children learn math , English Vietnam ....
Despite these objective conditions and subjective influences directly in the
teaching process but we knew ahead overcome the difficulties ahead , gradually
improving the quality of English teaching hours to meet section Textbooks
target new programs .
3 . Solutions
a. Objectives:
- Instruct students to share knowledge recall reading practice - said of the lesson
learned .
- Strengthen the sense both sides as well as the form of words. Captures the

characteristics of each sample questions , first of all to achieve their best
performance in the semester , each school year .
- In addition, the small tracks are also used for entertainment in order to create a
playful , exciting learning or to teach them the lessons illustrate vocabulary ,
accent , rhythm , and a points of English grammar , help them memorize more
easily . Thereby fostering pure soul , love of culture and beauty of foreign
languages in general and the beauty of the English subjects in particular , to help
them shape and personality development skills and comprehensive better .
b . Preparation:
- Teachers read books and researched the problem I am about to make.
- Professor armor refer to the way organizations can sing songs or the nature of
the game has a lot of experience in union activities . ( Personally, I myself
served as officers work effectively Youth for 6 years when I was a student student . Thus I have the opportunity to accumulate a lot of experience . )

teacher at school .
- Teaching aids that teachers must be prepared and the contents thoroughly selfcomposed songs , so the teacher should summarize some vocabulary and basic
structure of lessons for each topic to incorporated into the song , along with
research organizations choose appropriate forms .
c . Implementation measures :
After preparation , I proceed as follows :
1 . With songs available in textbooks I have extensive research on music so

joyful music , vivid and consistent with the words available .
2 . For all topics not available in textbooks I compose short songs playful tone ,
busy , according to the familiar melody , easy to imitate to teach the children .
3 . To more effectively , I bravely held many diversified singing ( when they
were under the clever songs and ) increases the efficiency of their songs.
Students or teachers can explain briefly discuss the content of the song and the
students read the words fluently once before singing . Sing the song and
understand the content students will enjoy singing and easier to remember .
Through that language be inserted will be used many times and greater
flexibility , engraved from new and more structured . Here are some of the forms
I have used very effectively as follows :
* Always give them the habit of singing an English song at the beginning of
each class period . Sometimes in the middle of the lesson they are stressed , tired
due to the weather last school , teachers should also give them a tune or two
songs short , gentle tone fun - together with the known sometimes clapping
rhythm , and beat one, beat faster and faster then ended, in order to pay back the
cheerful , busy , playful , lively classroom . Through singing English class ,
students will learn the intonation of the faster songs , from which they will
boldly , confidently communicate in English.

* Combine several movements or gestures during the singing match . Singing

combination play as " singing contest " ( not the one from the song 's theme
song has been following the rule of teachers ) .
* Forms pursue singing singing is fun and educational is significant , it caused
Appetite students . Singing chase ( with 2 or 4 groups ) gives the theater ,
groups, friends and listeners a sense of confusion initially when the group sang
various (different words but the music still follow a similar pattern ) , and finally
the same - to sing a verse . If the song is right , we have helped create selfconfidence , independence for the children , not listen , do not follow the other
vocals . Then , make sure they will be happy and proud even more ... Also at the
end of the school year , the introduction of one or two songs in English class 4
programs can not only help them but also entertain cause excitement , curiosity
enjoy learning in their courses .
Thus, we know that the way to support not only English lessons through games ,
storytelling , drama , camping ... but also through small tracks , more fun then to
encourage the use of English in a creative way practical . Use as many English,
learn English as much as possible to communicate in everyday life and in
today's modern society .

Students through this song will be a number of greeting each other and when

Lesson 9 : THE WEATHER
The purpose of this song is to help students review words and sentence
structures learned about weather in UNIT 16 – Grade 3: .
Structure: What’s the weather like ? – It’s + weather.
“What’s the weather like ?
It’s sunny today
What’s the weather like ?
It’s rainy today
What’s the weather like ?

It’s cloudy in my hometown
What’s the weather like ?
It’s windy in my hometown”.
This is the song I written base on Music of ‘ Gui anh mot khuc dan ca” ( Dan ca
Nam bo) in Music book 3 students have learned before.
And there are many more songs that I have used in the program but I can not all
be mentioned here, as the article: Numbers song (Unit 12: How old are you? Grade 3 that music is based song Di cay – Dan ca Thanh Hoa, the song "Days
of the week" - Grade 8 Unit 4, all "Month songs" - Unit 3. My birthday- Grade
4, or "School subjects" - Grade 7 Unit 4, or, "This is the way We Do things"
(Unit4 - Grade 5) - about the verb daily activities of individuals as brush teeth,
wash the face, eat breakfast…
4 . Achievements
Academic year 2013 - 2014 when there is no initiative put songs into
English in the teaching hours , I found myself not very quiet atmosphere of the
classroom , the children are not interested in the subject , the new words and
structures her teaches children not engraved . The lesson is very monotonous .
The result is so low , specifically as follows :

Through this situation , the academic year 2014 -2015, I boldly sing English
teaching methods in English lessons and results achieved as follows :
- Lively lessons , students learn exciting competition .
- Students capture the tone and say a mature way .
- Students from memory and on the class structure .
- Moreover, the long underachieving students in English , shy diffidence does

not even have the aptitude to learn a foreign language . But when they heard the
tone of her movements and you do form they were excited to participate actively
and enthusiastically . And the lyrics seem simple and not difficult for them to
fear .
- You can practice songs learned at any time, any place , such as 15 minutes of
activity time , the repertoire of the art ... From there , the children excited to
learn English , there is hope with English charm .
Thankfully, rather than completely overcome their difficulties in reading English-speaking and from which they actively participate in the activities in the
lesson . Students eager , excited , excitement in learning more , all prepared at
home more thoughtful . Therefore, results tracking quality English courses to
students' mid-term and at the end of the second year ( to April 10 th 2015) was

Through research and application topics " inspire and reinforce of English
lessons by short songs ," I have learned some experience :
- To improve the quality of teaching , teachers must be passionate , be
responsible with your lessons , subjects of interest to students and teaching
quality , the new flexible method of choice in the direction innovation suit their
students .
- Prepare thoughtful lesson plans , detailed meticulous . Increased use of
available teaching aids or self- enrichment , practical and effective .
- Use short tracks or compose your collectibles , or organize games enhance
vocabulary and sentence structure practice to provide students with course

affinity . System for students adequate knowledge focus simple , easy to
remember , easy to use .
- Encourage students to change into English what they say in Vietnamese and
English used more often in class , or group learning at home .
- Awards honored those who are gifted , progress and participation statements .
Also, need regular help motivate them weak and timely correction of the
language you gently , so that they are not guilty , ashamed , afraid of saying the
wrong lead to problems or lazy school .
III. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.
1 . Conclusion
With much effort and effort , with plate enthusiasm for the job , and I always
strive to find new ways to teach students to engage more days a love of English ,
learning English is good . Above are some small experience that I have done and

achieved good results in the past time teaching . Still not good , but also partly to
help my students learn more favorite and close to the subject. I sincerely look
forward presentation and your contribution teachers and colleagues to my topic
is more complete supplement for teaching English lessons to achieve higher
quality .
Towards myself , I promise to continue to inherit and promote the results
achieved by the implementation of the subject , and never stop learning
experiences were overcome difficulties in teaching to meet innovation program

requirements , methods of teaching English Ministry of Education and training .
2 - The recommendations and suggestions :
Starting from the basis of theory , practice and teaching purposes as well as the
successes and constraints in the implementation of the subject , to contribute to
the teaching of English in general and teaching in particular from the increasing
quality I have improved myself practical recommendations as follows :
The environment is so foreign language skills must be practiced according to
the characteristics of teaching methods , so the department should have room to
avoid the noise for the beside class and not affected by noise from the outside .
