MY FEELING ABOUT PHU MY HUNG URBAN AREA
I knew about Phu My Hung Urban Area for the first time when I joined extracurricular
activities with classmates at weekend in 2010. I felt extremely surprised and interested in
a green urban space, beauty, clean fresh air in the area that previously had been a natural
marshland.
I really admired those investors, architects who conducted the design and put the project
construction into reality. First time I came to Phu My Hung I was totally attracted by the
living space of residents. Everything was designed in harmony with each other. Roads,
streets, parks, office buildings, shopping malls, entertainment areas, schools that were
built up with the elegance, cleanness, natural beauty. Especially, the residents here were
very friendly, by talking with them, I felt that they were enjoying a life of fullness in one
of the modernest urban areas in Vietnam. Most of the residents’ demands such as working
place, food, sports area, and entertainment areas… could be satisfied in a multi-functional
complex.
At night, Phu My Hung is so attractive with the magical beauty of lights radiating from
the luxurious buildings, recreation activities taking place in a lively, bustling manner.
Nguyen Van Linh parkway with 10 lanes becomes the main axis spreading to areas
around Nha Be district, Binh Chanh district and Long An province. A vast area of water
coconut has stood up, transformed into the beautiful buildings surrounded by the internal
roads with trees and flower gardens.
Most of Phu My Hung is green tree area along the river that is meant to serve the
community activities.The residents at Phu My Hung enjoy not only comfort and safety in
the living space, but also benefit of the fresh air, quiet landscape with green trees mixed
with embellished canals that characterizes for the south river region. At Phu My Hung,
children can study from elementary school to university with all types of training and
education including international schools. More conveniently, sports grounds and parks
are located between each building.
I learned that Mr. Lawrence S. Ting was the pioneer in proposing and executing the
construction of Phu My Hung urban area. He wholeheartedly strived to turn a swampy
area into modern urban area. As a pioneer, he had the courage to accept all challenges,
full of patience, determination and confidence in the success of this project. The

contribution of Mr. Lawrence S. Ting is invaluable, certainly not only people living at
Phu My Hung, but also many people in Vietnam will keep him in mind.
Besides its highly successful business activities, Phu My Hung Development Corporation
has held a great number of meaningful community activities such as Lawrence S. Ting
scholarship funding, Lawrence S. Ting walking day for the poor, Program of IT


sponsoring for schools from north to south of Vietnam ... I think the company has
contributed a considerable value to the development of residential community at Phu My
Hung in particular and Vietnam in general. I am proud that in Vietnam there is an
amazing company like Phu My Hung. If I have an opportunity to work for the company,
it will be wonderful for my life.
