- Develop speaking skill by telling about their family

Warm-up
- Ask sts to look at the picture in their book & raise questions:
+ How many peaple are there in the picture?
+ What is their relationship?
+ What are they doing?
- Check sts answers.’
- Look at the picture in their book & answer the
questions:
+ There are 4.
+ They are a family.
+ Father is playing with the son; Mother is helping
her daughter with her homework.
- Listen to understand.

Before
reading
- Put the cards of members on the board in 3 different
columns.
- Show sts the cards of activities which have been prepared
before hand.
- Ask sts to works in groups of 4 in 2mins to match the
activities with the members of the family.
- After 2 mins, the group who raise the hand first will have the
right to go to the board and tick the activities in each column.
- Check sts results with the who class.’
- Explain some phrases:
+ Running the households.
+ Give a hand with cleaning the floor.
+ mending things.
- Read the phrases and ask sts to read after.
- Listen to the teacher s explanation.’
- Works in groups of 4 in 2mins to match the
activities with the members of the family.
- After 2 mins, raise the hand to get the right to go
to the board & be the winner.
- Listen & take nots in the notebook.
- Read after the teacher.

reading
- Ask sts to look at the passage & listen to the tape. Remind
sts of underlining new words.
- Write new words (words related to the topic only) on the
boards & explain:

everyone & everything in a family.

- Read as a model & show the position of stress. Then ask sts

- Ask some to stand up & speak aloud the words & phrases.
Task 1
- Ask sts to work in pairs in 4mins to fulfill task 1.
- After 4mins, ask presenters of some about their answers.
- Ask if other groups agree or not.
- Check the answers with the whole class by explaining the
key words when neccesary:

- Read words as model & ask sts to read after.
Task 2
- Ask sts to work in pairs to ask & answer the questions.

- After 4mins, check sts answers.’
- Listen & read after the teacher.

- After 4mins, each presenter stand up & tell about
one member in his/her family.
