SHOULD TEACHERS GIVE STUDENTS MUCH HOMEWORK ?

Nowadays, students have to learn more and more academic knowledge as well as soft
skills so teachers shouldn't give students much homework because that make students study
too much.
Firstly, much homework lead to the fact that students feel stressful because they have to
spend too much time doing a lot of homework of different teachers[[[as students spend more
time doing homework, they have to lessen their free time. As a result, their relationship with
other people isn't as good as it was. friends and relatives play an important part in every
person's life, so students should get on well with those people and should not study all
the time]]], and their health can be badly affected. For example, people are under a lot of
stress may experience headache , minor pains and sleeping difficulties.
Secondly, as students spend more time doing homework, they have to lessen their free time.
As a result, their relationship with other people isn't as good as it was. friends and relatives
play an important part in every person's life, so students should get on well with those

Last but not least, to be more successful in their future careers, students not only learn at
school but also study many things else like social skills. If they have good social skills, they
will have good jobs, good friends and achieve great success in life.
therefore teachers shouldn't make students do much homework , beacause other skills are
as important as academic knowledge.

Nowadays, there are many changes and improvements in the teaching methods. Some people
said that homework should be abolished, while others said it is very important to give
students assignments at home. In my opinion, there are differences views about the
importance of homework in education depend on the kinds of subjects at school and the
learning attitude of the students.
Firstly, there are many subjects that having homework is very essential such as math or

literature. These subjects require students to have best writing skills. So by giving students
more work to do at home, teachers train them in an effective way. They have to spent more
time in learning and as a result they will memorize their lessons better because it is believed
that : “Practice makes perfect”. The students also have a change to enhance their skills and


enrich their knowledge. Moreover, when students attempt to complete assignments on time,
they will be come more responsible. They can build their plan and do that with their own
discipline.
In the other hand, a large amount of homework can bring student pressure and make them
stressful. It takes them a lot of time to do exercise and they have a little free time to relax.
This statement continues may effect students’ health in term of both physical and emotion
because they can’t refresh themselves after long time learning at schools. Besides, students
are encouraged to develop their own learning skills and many schools are improving
teaching programmes to become more practical, more applied. Because of that, there are
some opinions said that the value of the homework are reducing.
In conclusion, I think we should find a solution to balance the amount of homework, decide
that what kinds of subject need homework. If we can have a better education methods, the
students will develop their full potential.
