Isthereahuman-likecivilizationincloseproximitytoEarth?Hasthiscivilization
intervenedorinterferedinhumanaffairs?
Earlyinthe20thCenturythelikesofextraterrestrialsandUFOswerenotwidely

ThePhaetonHypothesis:AHoleinHistory

The‘discredited’TitiusBodeLaw,anantiquated18thCenturymathematicalformula
thatpredictstheaveragedistancesofsolarsatellites,orplanetsfromtheirparentstar,is
notsomuchdiscredited,asitisrevisedandimprovedby21stCenturymathematics,tonot
onlypredictplanetarypositions,butalsothenumberofeachplanet’smoons.
However,inobscuringtheexistenceof‘other’civilizationsorspaceoperationswithin
oursolarsystem,(ifthat’swhatisreallyhappening)thefirstorderofdeceptiondoctrine
wouldbeto‘discredit’Bode’sLaw-forreasonswhichwillsooncrystallize.
Sometimeinthe1760’sAstronomersJohannElertBodeandJohannDanielTitius
producedaformulawhichplottedthepositionsofthesixknownplanetsorbitingtheSun,
andbelieveditwouldalsopredictthelikelypositionsofmore,asyetundiscovered
planets.
[T]akenoticeofthedistancesoftheplanetsfromoneanother,andrecognizethatalmostallareseparatedfromone
anotherinaproportionwhichmatchestheirbodilymagnitudes.DividethedistancefromtheSuntoSaturninto100

parts;thenMercuryisseparatedbyfoursuchpartsfromtheSun,Venusby4+3=7suchparts,theEarthby4+6=10,
Mars by 4+12=16. But notice that from Mars to Jupiter there comes a deviation from this so exact progression.
FromMarstherefollowsaspaceof4+24=28suchparts,butsofarnoplanetwassightedthere.ButshouldtheLord
Architecthaveleftthatspaceempty?Notatall.Letusthereforeassumethatthisspacewithoutdoubtbelongstothe
still undiscovered satellites of Mars, let us also add that perhaps Jupiter still has around itself some smaller ones
which have not been sighted yet by any telescope. Next to this for us still unexplored space there rises Jupiter’s
sphereofinfluenceat4+48=52parts;andthatofSaturnat4+96=100parts.[1]

TheTitius-BodeLawplacedthepositionsofMercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,and
Saturn;howevertheformulaalsoraisedastunninganomaly-ananomalystilldisputed
today,andananomalycrucialtothestudyandpossibleverificationofCivilizationX-and
thatis,Bode’slawrequiredanotherplanettoexistinsolarorbitatanaverageof2.80
astronomicalunitsfromtheSun,inthe‘gap’betweenMarsandJupiter.[2]
Therewasa‘missingplanet’yettobediscovered.
Bode’sLaw,ofcourse,alsopredictedthatmoreplanetswouldbefoundorbitinginthe
outersolarsystem,beyondtheorbitofSaturn.
Then,onMarch13th,1781,theirtheorystruckastronomical‘pay-dirt’whenHerschel
discoveredUranus,orbitingtheSunincompliancewithBode’slaw.Twentylongyears
later,onJanuary1st1801,an‘object’wasfinallylocatedinthevastnessoftheMarsJupitergap;butnottheobjectthatwasexpected-Piazzihadfoundthestrangeasteroid
comedwarfplanet,Ceres.

Hereonemustnotethatthepositioningofplanetsfromtheirparentstarisclearlynever
goingtofallintoexactingparameters,howeveritisclearfromBode’santiquatedlawand
basicformula,thatreasonablyaccurate(orrough)predictionsofsuchcanbemade,as
suchBode’sLawisdescribedasalowprecisionformula.
However,discoveringCeresoccupyingPlanetX’sposition,revealedadilemmaofepic
magnitude-thisastronomicaldilemmaledtothePhaetonHypothesis-ahypothesisthat
holdspowerfulimplicationsconcerningCivilizationX,andultimately,humanity.

HeinrichOlbers,originatoroftheearlymissingplanettheory


Thedilemma,asonemightguess,wasthatCeres,althoughamassivesphericalasteroidat
587milesindiameter,wasonlyatinyplanetoid,andsimplytoosmalltoaccountforthe
planetthatshouldhavebeenthere.AlatercalculationbyOvendenputBode’sPlanetXat
aroundthesamemassasSaturn,orsomewherebetween50-90timesEarth’smass.
Bode’sPlanetXwasnotonlystillmissing,butasomethingthatshouldn’texistwasin
itsplace.
Insteadoftheirplanet,theorbitalpositionat2.80AstronomicalUnitsrevealedavast,
donutshapeddiscofrockandmetal-thesonamedasteroidbelt.
Significantly,onlytwelvegiantasteroidsaccountfornearlytwothirdsofthebelt’s


totalmass,withfourmegaasteroids(Ceres,Vesta,Pallas,andHygiea)accountingfor
roughlyhalf.Tens-of-thousandsofsmallerasteroidsaccountfortheremainder,forminga
vastdiscaroundtheSunwithintheMars-Jupitergap;althoughitmustbenotedthatthe
belttendsclosertoMars.Ceres’gravitationalmassissuchthatithasbeenforcedinintoa
spheroid,inlinewiththephysicsofplanetaryformation,henceits2006reclassificationas
thebelt’ssoledwarfplanet-andexactlywhereBode’sPlanetXshouldhavebeen.
Sciencehasclassifiedasteroidscomprisingthemain-beltintoseveralspectral‘types’:
C-Type(Carbonaceous),G-Type,S-Type(Silicate),andM-Type(Metallic).Another
asteroidbeltcomprisingnearly7000Apolloasteroidscirculatestheinnersolarsystem
betweenMarsandMercury.
In1802,afterdiscoveringthemegaasteroidPallas,HeinrichWilheimOlberspresented
thetheorytoWilliamHerschelthatCeresandPallaswere(inlinewiththeTitiusBode
Law)fragmentsofamuchlargerplanetthatonceoccupiedtheMars-Jupitergap;this
planet,Olbersposited,sufferinganinternalexplosionorgiantcelestialimpactmany
millionsofyearsbefore.Olberspositedthatmore‘asteroids’wouldbefoundnearCeres,
andtheywere.
106yearsafterOlbers’hypothesis,Sovietscientist,YevgenyKrinov,beganan
extensiveinvestigationintoastrangeandgigantic1908explosionwhichdevastated

2000km2offorestnearTunguska,Siberia.The(stilldebated)sourcewasbelievedtobea
60tonbolide,orair-burstmeteordetonation.Krinov’sinvestigationhowever,ledhimto
thesameconclusionasOlbers,106yearsearlier.Krinovpositedthatthepresenceof
colossalasteroidsandtheexistenceofcometswithhighlyeccentricorbitswereonly
explainablebythehistoricbreakupofacelestialbody.ItwasKrinovwhonamedthis
‘destroyed’planetPhaeton,sparkingoneofthesolarsystem’sgreatestmysteries,and
possiblyoneofhumankind’sgreatestsecrets.
However,asthePhaetonHypothesiswasfleshedout,theideaconceivedaplanet,
fittingwithBode’slaw,insolarorbitbetweenMarsandJupiter,whichwassomehow
annihilated,leavingbehindavastbeltofasteroids,rock,anddust.
Atthattimearangeofpossibilitieswereraisedastowhyalargeplanetmight
disintegrate.
(a)ItcametooclosetoJupiterandwasrippedapartbygravitationalforces.
(b)Arogueplanet-possiblythemythicalNibiru-struckPhaetononacrossvectored
orbit.
(c)Coreinstabilitybysomeasyetunknownmeans,triggeredarunawaynuclearchain
reactionandtotalannihilation.
Overtimehowever,thePhaetonHypothesisandthereasonsbehindhypothetical,
naturallyoccurringplanetaryannihilation,fellfrommainstreamscientificacceptancefor
threereasons:
(1)Theunimaginableamountofenergyrequiredtodestroyamassiveplanetand
reduceittochunksofrockandmetal,wasjustthat-entirelyunimaginabletohumankind.
(2)Spectraandchemicaldifferencesbetweentheasteroidsshowthattheycomefrom


twosources,andthereforenotoneplanet;and;
(3)Themainasteroidbelt’slowcombinedmass,(roughly4%ofEarth’sMoon),does
notseemtosupportthehypothesisofplanetarydisintegration.
Thesereasons,however,mayfindtheirerrorinthelimitationsofhumanthinking-up
untilnow.Hencethelogicallyadoptedmainstreamviewbecamethatratherthan

fragmentingfromaprogenitorplanet,themain-beltasteroidsweremorelikelytheresult
ofafailureofplanetformingprocesses,duetoJupiter’spowerfulgravitationaldisruption.
Thisview,likemanyhistoricalscientificviews,hasbecomeentrenched-although
contradictorytothispremiseisclearlythefactthatCeres,at2.80AU,wasabletocollect
enoughmasstoachievesphericalplanetaryformation.
Asweshallsee,thenon-formationpresumption-theonlypresumptionthatnegatesthe
PhaetonHypothesis-mayhavebeenjumpedat,andaccepted,alltooquickly,asallofthe
reasoningbehindPhaeton’sabandonmentasatheorymayverywellbeexplainable.




InnerSolarSystemAsteroidDistribution.Thisisatellingimage;notethecloserproximityofthemainasteroidbeltto
MarsthanJupiter.


II
AHoleinSpace:ProblemsoftheNon-FormationPresumption
(1)UnimaginableEnergy

IfweagreethatPhaeton,hadheexistedatall,heldroughlythesamemassasSaturn(95
timesEarth’smass),thenwemustsurelyagreethattheamountofenergyrequiredtoblast
orsmashthisgiantintopieces,wouldbevastbeyondimagination.Butperhapsonly
beyondtheimaginationsoftheunimaginative.
CometsoriginatingbeyondNeptunianorbitandimpactingPhaeton’ssurfacecould
haveundoubtedlyinflictedcolossaldamage,butcouldnothaveproducedtherequired
forceforneartotalannihilation.Also,cometsappeartheresultofplanetarybreak-up,not
acause.Inthishypothesis,andalmostundeniably,cometsaremadeofPhaeton.
Interestingly,thediscardedtheorythatNibiru,therogueplanetofSumerianmyth,
collidedwithPhaetonmayactuallyholdwater.Twomassivecelestialbodieshurtling

throughspaceoncollisioncourseataminimumcombinedvelocityofover20kilometres
persecond(44,800mph),andpossiblyupto40km/s,wouldclearlyproducecatastrophic
resultsforPhaeton;howeverthecollisionwouldhavetobeperfectandnotmerelya
glancingblow.TheSumerianepicversionofthiscollisionisthatoneofNibiru’smoons
hitPhaeton,splittingtheplanet.
Factorsagainstcollisiontheoryinclude:
(a)ThemiracleofNibiru’sexistenceinthefirstplace.Nibirubeingaplanetbasedon
ancientmyth,ratherthantangibleevidence.Nibiruisthoughttoenteroursolarsystem
every3600years,beforeswingingonaneccentricpath,backintoouter-space.
(b)Hadtwoplanetscollided,wewouldnowhavetoaccountforthemassoftwo
planets,whereonlyafractionofPhaeton’smassremainsastheasteroidbelt.The
SumerianversionofthisusesaMarssizedmoonofNibiru’s,andhasNibirucontinuingits
orbit.
(c)Theoddsagainstsuchacleanstrikebetweenthetwoplanets,resultinginneartotal
annihilationareastronomical,yetofcourse,notimpossible.
Factorssupportingcollisiontheoryinclude:
(i)Thereconciliationoftheproblemofthetwosourcesofasteroidsfoundwithinthe
main-belt.
(ii)ThismayalsoaccountforthefactthatC-Typeasteroidsdominatetheinnerbelt;a
patternonecouldassociatewithcollisiontheory.
(iii)Ceresremainingatthe2.80AUsolarorbitmayindicatethatthis‘dwarfplanet’
wasoncethecore,oratleastacolossalpiece,orpossiblyamoonofoneofthecolliding
bodies.
(iv)AplanetofPhaeton’sestimatedsizewouldhaveheldmultiplemoonsinorbit.In


theplanetarycollisionhypothesis,itstandsthatCeres,Vesta,Pallas,andHygiea,thefour
largestmain-beltasteroids,couldhavebeensuchmoons.OthersizeestimatesputPhaeton
at2timesEarth’smass;thestandard,orsocalled‘SuperEarth’,expectedtoforminsuch
asolarsystem.

(v)ItalsostandsthatMars’smallmoons,PhobosandDeimos,orin-fact,anyof
Jupiter’s67,Saturn’s62,Uranus’27,orNeptune’s14moons,couldhavebeencaptured
chucksofPhaetonorNibiru,asaresultoftheircollisionandconsequentdestruction.Note
that51ofJupiter’smoonsaretiny,atlessthan10kmwide;likewise,severalofNeptune’s
smallmoonscouldnothaveformedintheircurrentpositions,provingcapture-bothfacts
arehighlysuggestiveofrecentlyacquired‘debris’,reinforcingthePhaetonHypothesis.
Finally,theideaofJupitertearingPhaetonapartseemsunlikely,fortworeasons:
(i)IfPhaetonhadmetsuchafate,thesameshouldhavesotoobefallenCeres;and;
(ii)TheasteroidbeltorbitstheSunfarclosertoMarsthanJupiter,andisdenseralong
adefinedorbit-whereasifJupiterhadbeenresponsibleforPhaeton’sdemisewewould
expecttoseethemain-beltnearerJupiter.
Soevenatthisearlystage,wecanseethattheplanetarycollisionhypothesisanswers
manyunansweredquestionsor‘un-explainables’regardingoursolarsystem’smechanics,
andthoseoftheasteroidbelt;althoughhereandnowitmustbenoted,andwewill
consideritlater,thatsomescientistspositanon-naturaltheoryofPhaeton’sannihilation;
i.e.intentional,orweaponsbaseddestruction.
InthetimeperiodthatsawthePhaetonHypothesis’abandonment,westerncultural
acceptanceofthepossibilityofnon-Earthlycivilizationscycledfromtabootoforbiddenwhereasnowadays,abeliefinextraterrestrialpresenceisbothstrong,andcommonly
acceptedconversation.Thepointbeingthatifalargeplanetwasintentionallydestroyed,
onlyahighlyadvancedextraterrestrialcivilizationcouldhavebeenresponsiblewithinthe
veryancienttimeframes.
Sufficetosay,thereremainsmuchtoargue,andmuchtorevealregardingthe‘unimaginableenergy’presumptionofPhaeton’snon-formationtheory.
(2)DuelSources
Thesecondargumentsupportingthenon-formationtheoryofPhaetonistheexistenceof
twodistinctasteroidsfromtwodistinctsourceswithinthemainbelt,showingthatthese
asteroidshaddifferentparentbodies.
Itdoeshoweverappearthattheduelsourcesofbeltasteroidssupportstheprevious
collisiontheorymoresothannon-formation.
Althoughseveralsubtypesofasteroidandmeteorhavebeencreated,themainbelt
asteroidsoriginatefromtwodistinctsources;thisisshownbydatingexposurestocosmic

radiation.Distinctlyferrousmeteorsareshowntobeolderthanthosedistinctlyrocky.
Ceres,acarbonaceousasteroid,isnowclassedasG-Type,whichissimilartoC-Type,but
containingmoremineralssuchasclay,mica,anddolomite.Despiteduelsources,asteroids
exhibitanomaliesconsistentwiththegeneralPhaetonHypothesis:
(a)Diamondsfoundwithinmeteoritesprovetheirformationdeepwithinhot,high-


pressuregeology-orinsideaplanet.FordiamondstoformhereonEarth,carbondeposits
mustbecompressedataminimumdepthof87miles(140km)foraperiodofatleastOne
Billionyears,makingitimpossiblethatanyasteroidinthevolatilezoneofthemain-belt
couldhaveprovidedthecorrectconditions.Itismorelikelythatthe2.8AUorbitwas
(untilannihilation)abenignregionofspacecontainingalargeplanetwheresuch
diamondsformed.
(b)In1948,Caltech’sClairCameronPatterson,throughhisinnovativeresearchinto
lead-lead(Pb)datingandleadcontamination,proveddefinitivelythatEarth-crossing
asteroids(thatbecamemeteorites),didin-factoriginatefromasingle,largerplanetary
body.
(c)Meltingandcharringonasteroidexteriorsurfaces,seenbothviaHubble,and
passingroboticspaceprobes,clearlyindicatepastexposuretointenseheat.Littleelse
exceptthePhaetonHypothesiscanexplainthiswithintherealmsofgenuinepossibility.
Science’ssupernovaexplanationforthismelting,hasnotpresenteditsevidenceelsewhere
inthesolarrecord.


(3)InsufficientMass
Onecanclearlyseethatifsuchaplanetaryexplosionoccurred,theuniformdistributionof
themain-beltasteroids(inthepreviousimage)actuallyfitstheexpectedpattern.Thebelt
isdensestatthe2.8AUmark,thinningevenlyineachdirection.Thebeltcirculatescloser
toMars,asmostofanyleftovermaterialnearJupiter’ssphereofgravitationalpullwould
havebeencollectedorconsumedbythegiant.Rememberalsothattheapproximately

7000‘ApolloClass’asteroidssittingbetweenMarsandMercurycouldbetheproductof
process;theinteriorplanetsbeingfarlessmassivethanJupiter,andthereforeattracting
lessofPhaeton’sremnantsandcirculatingdebrisoverthemanymillionsofyearssince
annihilation.
Non-formation’smainargument-theargumentthattheasteroidbeltdoesnothold
enoughdebristoaccountforPhaeton’sdestruction,isin-facttheweakestargumentfor
non-formationofall.Thereasonsfortheasteroidbelt’smakeuparenotonlymany,varied,
andexplainable-butthebelt’smakeupactuallyalignswithPhaeton’sannihilationtheory;
theselinesofargument,wewillnowscrutinize.
(i)GreedyGiants
Jupiter’shungerforPhaeton’sremnantshasbeenmentioned,butanotherimportant,
interrelatedpointneedsraisingatthisjuncture;andthatisoneofplanetarylocationsatthe
timeofPhaeton’sbreak-up,andforatleastthesubsequentsixtotwelvemonths(Earthly
time).InthecaseofEarthitshouldbenoted,thatwhenMarsandEarthreachtheirclosest
points,ittakesaround6monthsforourspace-probestotraversethedistance.Thepointis,
thatevenifEarthwasatherclosestpointtoPhaetonatbreak-up,itwouldtakesome
monthsfortheensuingshockwave,meteorbombardment,gas,anddebriscloudstoreach
her.



Suchanimageofthesolarsysteminperpetualmotionremindsusthattheplanetsdonot
orbittheSuninstring-lineformation.Orbitingatverydifferentvelocitiesandatvery
differentdistancesmeansthatneighboringplanetswilloccasionallybeonoppositesides
oftheSun,andoftenvastlyfurtherawayfromeachotherthanattheirclosestpoints.
IfPhaetonandJupiterwerecloseatthetimeoftheexplosion,thenthegasgiantwould
havetakenthebruntandabsorbedmuchoftheejectedmass.Thishasledsometo
questionweatherJupiter’sGreatRedSpot(2.8xEarth’ssize),andanothersimilar‘spot’,
(whicharesomekindofmassivemagneticstorms,churningatover400mph),were
triggeredbysuchacataclysmicimpacteventasPhaeton’s.WithJupiter’smassivecore,

coveredonlybyliquidhydrogen,andhavingnolandmasstoslowsuchastorm,the
tempestcouldlastmillennia.Jupiterisalsowarmerthanitshouldbe.Andonceagain,a
staggering51ofJupiter’smoonsaretiny,capturedrocks,fittingOlbers’theory.
NeptunemayhavealsoplayedamajorroleinabsorbingPhaeton’sejectedmass;and
thismakesonewonderabouttheoriginsoftheKuiperBelt,amassivebeltofasteroids
andvolatileicechunksincircum-stellarorbitbeyondNeptune.BothNeptuneandJupiter
exhibitthesebizarre,long-termcyclonic‘storms’;interestinglyJupiter’shavingweakened
considerablyoverobservabletime.

(ii)MeteorBombardment
TheSun’sinnerplanets,Mars,Earth,Venus,Mercuryandtheirmoons,showexcessive
meteorbombardment,somuchsothatmanycratershavebeenimpactedtwice,while
cratersofthesamesizeoftenliebesideeachother.NASAandscientificcriticRichard
Hoaglandbelievesthisindicatesanon-naturalsource.Ontheotherhand,non-formation
proponentssuggestthisheavycrateringissimplytheproductofaviolentearlysolar
system.However,withMars-Phaeton’sinnerneighbor-doublecrateringandheavy
damageaffectthesouthernhemisphereextensivelymoresothanthenorthern,possibly
suggestingthatMarstookthemajorityofPhaeton’sbombardmentbeforerevolvingonhis
axis.Earth’sMoonalsoshowsdoublecrateringandheavymeteorbombardment.Richard
Hoagland,famousinastronomicalcirclesforhiscontroversialyetinterestinglyaccurate
research,hasalwaysbeenconcernedwithwhathecallshexagonalcratering.Hesuggestsa
non-naturalcauseforsuch‘shapes’.Butitmaybepossible,intherealmsofthePhaeton
Hypothesis,thatsharpedgedandgeometricallyshapedchunksofmetallicrock,many
kilometreswide,causedthestrangeandasyetunaccountedforphenomena,whichis
prevalentaroundEarth,Mars,andtheirmoons.
(iii)ExtraSolarEjection

Clearlyit’seasytosuggestthatmuchofPhaeton’sremainingdebriswasejectedentirely
fromthesolarsystemduringthecatastrophicexplosion,orevenabsorbedbytheSun.Itis
evenpossibleinsomescenariosthatthemajorityofPhaeton,orevenNibiru,wasejected
intact,becomingalone-wolfplanet.Lone-wolfplanetsareknowntoexist,freeofaparent
star.
OnJanuary20th,2016,Sciencereported:
[T]oday,twoscientistsannouncedevidencethatabodynearlythesizeofNeptune—butasyetunseen—orbitsthe
sun every 15,000 years. During the solar system’s infancy 4.5 billion years ago, they say, the giant planet was
knocked out of the planet-forming region near the sun. Slowed down by gas, the planet settled into a distant
ellipticalorbit,whereitstilllurkstoday.
Theclaimisthestrongestyetinthecenturies-longsearchfora“PlanetX”beyondNeptune.Thequesthas
been plagued by far-fetched claims and even outright quackery. But the new evidence comes from a pair of
respected planetary scientists, Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown of the California Institute of Technology
(Caltech)inPasadena,whopreparedfortheinevitableskepticism[sic]withdetailedanalysesoftheorbitsofother
distant objects and months of computer simulations. “If you say, ‘We have evidence for Planet X,’ almost any
astronomerwillsay,‘Thisagain?Theseguysareclearlycrazy.’Iwould,too,”Brownsays.“Whyisthisdifferent?
Thisisdifferentbecausethistimewe’reright.”
Theorbitoftheinferredplanetissimilarlytilted,aswellasstretchedtodistancesthatwillexplodeprevious
conceptions of the solar system. Its closest approach to the sun is seven times farther than Neptune, or 200
astronomicalunits(AUs).(AnAUisthedistancebetweenEarthandthesun,about150millionkilometres.)And
Planet X could roam as far as 600 to 1200 AU, well beyond the Kuiper belt, the region of small icy worlds that
beginsatNeptune’sedgeabout30AU.
IfPlanetXisoutthere,BrownandBatyginsay,astronomersoughttofindmoreobjectsintelltaleorbits,
shapedbythepullofthehiddengiant.ButBrownknowsthatnoonewillreallybelieveinthediscoveryuntilPlanet
Xitselfappearswithinatelescopeviewfinder.“Untilthere’sadirectdetection,it’sahypothesis—evenapotentially
verygoodhypothesis,”hesays.TheteamhastimeontheonelargetelescopeinHawaiithatissuitedforthesearch,
andtheyhopeotherastronomerswilljoininthehunt.

AsnomodelaccountsorallowsforsuchalargebodybeyondPluto,coulditbethat



BrownandBatygin’sPlanetXissynonymouswithHenrichOlbers’MissingPlanet,
smashedoutofthe2.8AUorbitbyaroguelone-wolf?Orcouldtheir‘planet’bearogue
‘lone-wolf’inhisownright,roamingafteraplanetaryexplosioninanaliensolarsystem?
(iv)TheOuterReachesofPossibility
TheKuiperBelt,beyondNeptune,isthoughttoholdmanytimesthemassoftheinner
solarsystem’smainasteroidbelt.TheKuiperBelt’ssignificanceisthatitholdsthree
planetoids;Pluto,Haumea,andMakemake.Couldthesebodiesrepresentpartsofthe
destroyedPhaeton?
Furtherout,attheveryouterreachoftheSun’sinfluencelurkstheScatteredDisc,a
circum-stellarellipseoficyplanetoids,asteroids,androck.TheScatteredDiscoffers
anotherlineofanswerstothenon-formationargumentofinsufficientmass.Itstandsto
reasonthatifsomeofPhaeton’smasswerehurledfromthesolarsystem,thenatleast
someofthismasswouldhavebeenretainedintheveryouterreaches.
ScatteredDiscobjectshaveellipticalorbitsswingingfromperiheliamostlyaround
35AU,rightouttoapheliaof100AUorslightlymore.Inrelationtoour,newversionof
thePhaetonHypothesis,theScatteredDiscoffersfurtherenlightenment-andthatina
word,isComets.
Theoriginofcometshassufferedlongdebate.Nothingtangibleexplainswhycomets
existinsuchhighlyeccentricorbits;theydohowever,giveusclues.Wedifferentiate
cometsfromasteroidsbecausetheirhighlyeccentricpathstakethemclosetotheSun,and
thenfarintotheyawningouterreaches-andoneotherreason:their‘tail’.


Theeccentricorbitofcometswhencomparedtothatoftheplanets


Acomet’speriheliamaybelessthan1AU,makingitvisiblewiththenakedeye,
extendingouttodeepaphelia,from35AU,andsomeouttoover400AU.Comingfrom
beyondNeptune,acomet’ssurfaceisencasedinvolatileice,suchasmethane,hydrogen,

ammonia,andsulphadioxide.Asthecometnearsitsperihelion,theSun’senergyoffgassesthisicymixasthevisible‘tail’oflight.However,afteracertainnumberofreturn
orbitsthisfinitesupplyoficewilldeplete,andthe‘comet’willbecomesimplyanasteroid
withaneccentricorbit.ShortreturncometsmustcomefromtheKuiperBelt,anarearich
involatileice;Halley’sComet(0.5AU-35AU)hasanorbitalperiodof75years.This
cometrunsfromNeptune’srealmtowellinsideEarth’s.Longreturncometshowever,
hailfromtheScatteredDiscregionandhavereturnperiodsofhundreds,tothousandsof
years.
Theproblemis:toaccountfortheselongreturncomets,atheoreticalsourceforthe
materialhadtobecreated-andthatconstructisthehypotheticalOortCloud.
Onlyconstructscanexplaintheexistenceofour6000pluscomets:ThePhaeton
Hypothesisisonesuchconstruct,theOortCloudisanother,yetnoevidenceofthis‘cloud’
hasbeenseen-ithadtobecooked-uptoaccountforcometsinlieuofPhaeton.Butforthe
‘OortCloud’toaccountforthe6000oddcometsweobserve,itsmasswouldhavetobeof
inconceivablemagnitude-holdingmanytrillionsofcometsizedbodies.Why?Because
outsideoftheSun’sgravitationalinfluenceitwouldbeexceptionallyrareforanybodyto
bepushedbyothermeansintosolarorbit,especiallyonebringingitwithintherequired
rangetovaporizeitsicycasing,andhencerenderitanobservable‘comet’.Athirdand
wildconstructfortheexplanationofcometsasweseethemisNemesis;a‘cooked-up’
dwarfstarinbinarytandemwiththeSun,whichmustpassthroughthisOortCloud,
flingingrockandiceinalldirections,including‘comets’intooursolarsystem.
NeithertheOortCloudorNemesisexplainthecharacteristicsofthemainasteroidbelt.

TheexplosiveannihilationofPhaetonat2.80AU,wouldhavein-fact,pusheddebrisa
varyingandmyriadofdistancesintotheouterreaches,from30AUrightoutto400AU
andbeyond,wheresomeofitwould(bymeansofgravitationalinfluence)haveachieve
hyperbolic,parabolic,andhighlyeccentricorbits.Itdoesappear,asanon-preciseruleof
thumb,thatthefurtherfromtheSunonegoes,themoreeccentricagivenbody’sorbit
becomes.
Notetheobserver,thatthemethaneandvolatileicethatoff-gasesfromcometsasthey
entertheinnersolarsystem,isafinitesource,limitingthepossibleageofcometswith

‘tails’observablefromEarth.Astronomer,Dr.T.VanFlandernsuggeststhatcometsmust
havefoundtheircurrentorbitslessthan10millionyearsago,asaftersuchtimegalactic
tideswouldhavepulledthemintodeepspace.
[t]hemostrecentandbestdefinedastronomicaleventservingastheoriginofallcometsat3.2millionyearsago,
wastheexplosionofamodest,probablyMoonsizedbody.Cometsoriginatingfromexplosionscannotsurvivein
orbitsthatbringthemintoobservablerangesforlongerthan10millionyears,thereforeearlierexplosions,evenof
majorbodies,showonlyasteroidal,meteoric,andgeologicalevidence.[5]

IfwetakeHalley’sCometforexample,itstandsthatachunkofPhaeton’scorematerial,
