A person influence on you
I remember that I met my English teacher when I was in grade 6. At that time I had some
difficulties learning English, but later… I mean when I was taught by mr. Hung, I gradually got
basic knowledge of English. During the time he was taking my class, everytime English class
happened, I felt as if the whole class including me were really excited and concentrated on .
Initially we thought that he would be a moody teacher and we would have to be very polite in
front of him. This impression came mostly because of his serious face and tidy dress-up. But
soon we found that, he is a very friendly person and teaches us very well. He never made things
complicated and tried over and over again to explain something to us. He had a very unique way
of teaching.
I'd say he has a great influence in my education because everything he taught is really
interesting. I myself like to learn with him because he not only speaks a very fluent English that
does inspire me a lot but also he is a gentleman in life. He would like to do charity and help
elderly, which makes him become a chairman of a charity organization. All in all I am a real fan
of this man until now. Although we don’t meet each other anymore, deep in my heart I really
want to study with him again.

a really strong impression on this, once when a very moody teacher coming to teach my class, at

in the Pacific and also in the Atlantic. In short, the whole world seems to be full of beautiful


places. The country that I would like to visit, however, is the United States of America.
My knowledge of the United States of America is derived from the geography and history books
that I have read, the films that I have seen and the stories that I have heard from people who have
visited this country.
The United States of America is a vast country with a mixed population. People from many
different lands have come and settled here. This mixture of different races of people with
different customs, religions, cultures and abilities have created a nation unique in history.
Although this country has a very short history compared with that of the other large countries in
the world, it is an example to the world of how people of different races could live together in
peace and harmony. The exchange of ideas among the people of so many racial origins here has
contributed greatly to the progress and prosperity of the nation. There are world famous
scientists, doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers and politicians whose original homes were in
many different lands. The work of such men has made this country a wonderful land indeed. The
roads, buildings and cinemas here may be said to be the best in the world. There are many places
and things of interest such as Hollywood, the United Nations building. Niagara Falls and the
skyscrapers. Even the natural vegetation and features are rich in variety. If one travels across the
land, one will find different kinds of scenery in different places. Further, as the people here still
follow their original customs and traditions, one will also have the feeling that one is passing

through many different countries.
The people of the United States are proud of their country, for it was their country that gave the
modern world ideas of freedom. The name of Abraham Lincoln will always be remembered by
those who believe in the freedom of man. It was the United States, again, who saved the world
from destruction in two World Wars. Such a country must be a wonderful land, and it is for this
reason that I would like to visit this country someday.

If I lost everything and could only save one thing it would be my first English book. I still
remember I got it when I was in grade 6. At that time, I had a total loss at how to learn English
because it seemed to be really tough subject. For this reason, I went to the bookstore and tried to
find an English book that would help me to learn it better. When I got there, nothing could catch
my eyes except the book at the back of the shelf in the store. It was about basic grammar rules of


English by a strange writer, It was not a very thick book, just like something fit your pocket.
When I opened it and read the first chapter, immediately it showed me some of the reasons why I
was not goot at learning English and some tips that I could use in the examinations. Well, I
would say that I ate and slept with it so as to gain more knowledge and learn english harder.
After a couple of months, I reached at the top of class in English. It was in fact the book that
helped me to improve my English.
To me, it was irreplaceable and priceless because it was not only my first English book but also a
remembrance about the way I studied when I was young. Secondly, the book is special because
it was probably the book that encouraged me to push myself hard into acquiring a foreign
language. It was just like a page turner and I had hard time keeping it away. Finally, the book
was unique because I hardly found another book that was written as well as the one I got, It
showed me the first and strong impression when I saw it.

Public Bus is a very common transportation system in my country and the majority of the
commuters in cities and urban areas use this transportation system. There are two types of public
bus system in my country: short distance buses and long distance buses. There are many
governments owned bus service system which is available mostly in metropolitan system. There
are varieties of sizes in these buses ranging from 10 seats to as many as 100 seats and even
double-decker buses as well.
People from all classes and economic conditions use these buses and who do not own private
cars, most of the times use this transportation system. Since there are cheap and expensive buses
based on the facilities allowed, people with low earnings mostly use the non-AC, small buses.
While the people with better economic conditions use air conditioned and bit expensive services.
This is the most convenient transportation system in my country in terms of expenses and
availability. Hiring taxi or private cars cost a lot and they are not always available. So people
mostly depend on the public bus transportation system which offers a very low fair and are
always available for almost all of the destinations.


I mostly use this bus transportation system for short and long distance travels. and I find it very

handy. Though there are some disadvantages of this transportation system, I would say still this
is the best way for commuters to more different places in my city.
