Topic 1 : a wise way to keep money ( putting it in a bank / investing in a company or a
secret place … )
I’m a student. I live on my parents so I don’t have much money. Every day my
mother gives me two thousand dong. In a week I have 14 thousand dong. Days after
days I have a lot of money. On Tet Holidays I often have lucky money from my
relatives. Up to now I have ----- . I keep it in my piggy bank. Next year I will have a
rather big saving account. I plan to put my money in the bank. By this way, my
money is kept safe and at the same time I have some interest every month.
Topic 2 :Describe your close friend
I’ve got many friends but my close friend is ___ . We’ve known each other for a
long time. She lives in my neighborhood. She is a student, too. She is at my same
age. She’s taller than I . She’s got big round eyes , long dark hair. She has a straight
nose. She looks lovely to everyone. She’s generous, sociable especially she’s
humorous.
When I have any problems, I share them with her, she’s willing to help me and give
me some good advice.
Topic 3 : Do you like to shop in a department store or a traditional
market ?
I often shop in a department store. A department store is much cleaner than a
traditional market. Goods are displayed into sections at a department store. So it’s
easy for us to buy things. Moreover, we can buy many things at reasonable prices.
At a department store, we don’t like bargaining very much; it’s time consuming.
Besides, there is a variety of goods at a department store.
Topic 4 : How often do you use public transportation ?
I sometimes use public transportation such as taxi, bus, car, and coach to Ho Chi
Minh City. Nowadays it’s easy for us to catch a bus or take a taxi. It’s comfortable
to travel by means of public transportation. Most buses or coaches have air
conditioners. They also have good services. However, travelling by public
transportation is rather expensive. The government should upgrade the systems of
transportation and decrease the fare.

Topic 5 :How often do you eat out ? What is your favorite restaurant ?
I often eat out with my family on public holidays. My favorite restaurant is Chuong
Duong. It is on 30- 4 Street. It is near Tien River. I like this restaurant because the
atmosphere is nice, its services are good, the prices are reasonable and the sights
are beautiful.
