In order to develop and expertise my professional skill, I have identified following goals to
achieve in next 7 years time. (i.e. By 2015). I have also mentioned my planned carrier growth.
SHORT TERM PLAN (1 TO 2 YEAR’S TIME)
1. Read ASHRAE journal and attend seminars conducted within the region regularly.
2. Always look for innovative / sustainable products in the market, attend seminars, product
launch and gain knowledge.
3. To become Member of CIBSE.
4. To continue working on present projects leading team of designers, strengthen technical
knowledge, gain experience and enhance my designation to PRINCIPAL DESIGNER.
5. Review my engineering design with my superiors and identify my areas of unawareness
and knowledge limitations.
6. Attend seminars, training courses on the areas of unawareness and improve upon it.
MEDIUM TERM PLAN (3 TO 4 YEARS)
1. Work for obtaining IEngg.
2. Visit Green buildings within the region, LEED & BREEM awareness, gain knowledge of
practical sustainable solutions.
3. Work towards obtaining certificate of LEED-AP.
4. Focus of other building services design (Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, Landscaping,
Structural etc.,) and enhance knowledge.
5. Work on concept designs and designate as DESIGN MANAGER.
LONG TERM PLAN (5 TO 7 YEARS)
1. Obtain FCIBSE and become Chartered Engineer (CEngg) from CIBSE.
2. Obtain LEED AP certification.
3. Start own consultancy firm and provide training to junior professionals, facilitate and help
your engineers in Sustainable solution.
