Watching television is bad for children.
It is true that some parents believe that watching television is bad for their children.
So, they try to restrict their children from watching TV. However, other parents
think that there is nothing bad in watching TV. Personally, I think/believe that
watching TV brings children only benefits unless they spend in front of TV set less
than a couple of hours daily because of following reasons
First of all, television helps a child to extent his or her range of interests. Children

can find out many new things and make many exciting discoveries for themselves.
In addition to these practical benefits television improves children's vocabulary,
their memory and gives them the opportunity to gain more knowledge. I think it is
very essential for a child. Though someone can say that there are plenty of different
resources of information such as books and teacher, children must learn faster and
use all curent technology in order to succeed in our modern world. Secondly,
watching cognitive rograms helps children to learn more about wild life, our
environment and about the importance of preserving our forest and wild animals
that live there.
Scientists say that a child should not watch TV more than 40 minutes continuously.
To illustrate, my mother always made us have a break after watching TV more than
half an hour and let our eyes rest for several minutes before turning on the TV
again. I think it is the best solution.
To sum up, I believe that television gives children and all people the opportunity to
learn what cannot be learn from books. Television and movies in particular allow
people to feel the reality and see what they will most likely not be able to see in
their lives.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
There is a lot of controversy/argument about using animals for human needs.
Animal rights activists are trying to stop all modern and traditional activities,
which involve killing animals or cause their suffering. Traditionalists are trying to
convince the community that using living creatures for men's needs is natural and
cannot be avoided in everyday life.
On the one hand, activists, who defend animal rights, are telling the world that

people should not use animals in any way. Moreover, they say that animals should
have exactly same rights as humans do. The reason is that people and animals are
both living creatures and there shouldn't be any difference in treating them. So
called extreme vegans/vegetarians are refusing/not to eat any food of animal
origin/made from animal, even milk or honey. They are trying to convince people
to do the same using as an argument that killing animals and keeping them in
captivity/imprisonment cause/lead to their suffering and not civilized .
On the other hand/however, traditionalists/some people disagree with the statement
that human should stop killing animals or using them to fulfill their needs. From
the very beginning of human civilization there is a tradition and
vital/important/essential need to use animals as a food and their parts in traditional
crafts. Without proteins and vitamins of animal origin human body wouldn't
receive all nutrients it needs. Moreover, testing some medicals on animals already
helped to fight many diseases people suffered from.
I think, people have the moral right to use animals to their benefit, to some extent. I
am sure, we should not cause them suffer and die for our fun. Although, using
animals for food is natural for humans as a predators, but as civilized predators we
should make sure to use only humane ways of killing.

Traffic is a very serious problem. The pedestrians and bicycle riders are
facing more and more danger. Many gardens become sacrifices to highways.
What are the best ways to make the citizens satisfied?
It is true that traffic problem becomes the biggest concern of many countries in the
world. Although there will undoubtedly be negative consequences of this trend,
societies can take steps to mitigate/alleviate/lessen these problems
As a traffic problems increases, several related problems can be anticipated. The
main issue is that traffic problems not only lead to the environmental pollution

caused by the exhaust gas and irritating noise but also the risk it takes to the
bicycle riders and pedestrians. Furthermore, many gardens and grasslands give
way to the rapid development of traffic facilities like highway, flyovers and
avenues, leaving less and less space for the citizens.
There are several actions that people could take to solve the problems described
above. Firstly, as a responsible government, it should have a long-term
development plan instead of the pursuit of a short-term profit. A responsible
government should always give priority to people appeal. Secondly, a government
must preserve for the citizens more gardens and meadows, where people can spend
weekend with their friends and family. Finally, a government should consider the
relation between economic development and environmental protection, leaving
more green lands to our descendants.
In conclusion, various measures can be taken to tackle the problems that are certain
to arise as traffic problems are increasing day by day.

Governments around the world are spending billions in support of space
programs. This money would be better spent on research into improvements
in human health.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
It is true that countries are spending a lot of their cash assets on space projects
while they should rather finance medical science sufficiently. While I agree that
spaceships are flying all over the Universe at the time people are dying from AIDS
or even flu.
On the one hand, I agree that human really have fought many dangerous and
untreated diseases like AIDS or cancer. Moreover, nowadays, human, animal and
plant diseases can spread more quickly through globalization. In addition,
launching just one space shuttle into the sky requires so many natural resources

and brings so many pollution, that it influences ecology a lot. That leads to new
health issues and need additional funding, which could be withdrawn from
excessive payments for space research.
On the other hand, scientists already have fund raising from commercial
pharmaceutical companies. A lot of diseases have been fought in just last 100 years
and there is an increase in mankind life expectancy. Moreover, improved health
and elongated life of population leads to a new problem – overpopulation. Space
research can help to find a new home for Earth inhabitants. The last, but not the
least, who knows, there is a chance we could found on other planets a panacea for
all diseases.

In conclusion, space programmes and vital public services such as schools and
hospitals are both crucial to developing the quality of life of the new generation.
Without one another, the development will be incomplete
