Face vs vase.
II. Pronuciation:
/f/ : fan, fiction, fine, fear, ferry, few, life, leaf, enough …..
/z/ : van, victim, vine, veer, very, view, live, leave, Stephen, ……
Practise these sentences :
1. He feels happy enough.
2. I want a photograph for myself and my wife.
3. Would you prefer a full photograph or a profile.
4. Stephen is driving a van full of vines.
5. We used to live in a village in the valley.
6. They arrived in the village on a van.
III. Presentation:
Example: - I like Titanic because it is very moving.

ATTITUDINAL ADJECTIVES (tính từ chỉ thái độ)
Form:

Ex: bore bored
boring
Usage:
- Tính từ dạng V_ing thường mang nghĩa chủ động, dùng
để diễn tả tính chất, bản chất của một ngườ hay một vật.
Ex: The film is very interesting.
- Tính từ dạng V_ed thường mang nghĩa bị động và
thường được dùng để diễn tả cảm xúc, tình cảm của một
người trước một sự việc bên ngoài.
Ex: I’m bored with the work.
Call a student: - When did the cinema really become an indastry?
- It was not until 1915 that the cinema really became an
industry.
Form:
Meaning: mãi cho đến (thời gian nào) thì (chuyện gì đó mới xảy ra)
Example: - I’m a teacher.
- The boy is crying.

ARTICLES (mạo từ)
Mạo từ không xác định: a / an
- a + một danh từ số ít đếm được bắt đầu với một phụ âm
ex: a class, a table…….
- an + một danh từ số ít đếm được bắt đầu với một
nguyên âm
ex: an umbrella…….
- không sử dụng mạo từ không xác định với các từ hạn
định khác (some, one, my, this, …..)
- Exception: an hour, a university, a one-pound note……

(Exercise 2): Hoàn thành hai câu cho mỗi tình huống, dùng động từ có dạng V_ing
hoặc V_ed của động từ được cho trong ngoặc để hoàn thành câu:
1. It’s been raining all day. I hate this weather. (depress)
a) The weather is depressing.
b) This weather makes me depressed.
2. Astronomy is one of Tan’s main interests. (interest)
a) Tan is interested in astronomy.
b) He finds astronomy very interesting.
3. I turned off the television in the middle of th program. (bore)
a) The program was boring.
b) I was bored with the program.
4. Lan is going to Singapore next month. She has never been there before.
(excite)
a) Lan is really excited about going to Singapore.
b) It will be an exciting experience for her.
5. Huong teaches small children. It’s a hard job. (exhaust)
a) Huong often finds her job exhausting.
b) At the end of the day’s work she is often exhausted.
