Để làm tốt dạng bài về lựa chọn từ loại chúng ta cần nắm vững kiến thức về tiền tố, hậu tố cũng
như chức năng của từ loại
+Tiền tố (prefix) được thêm vào trước từ gốc
Ex: unhappy, multicultural, overwork, supermarket
+Hậu tố (suffix) được thêm vào sau từ gốc

1.Nouns [Danh từ]

- Làm chủ ngữ trong câu.

Ex: Ms Xuan is an English teacher.
- Làm tân ngữ (túc từ) cho động từ.
Ex: Ms Xuan shares English document every day.
- Làm tân ngữ cho giới từ.
Ex: Ms Xuan’s students are good at English.
- Làm bổ ngữ cho chủ ngữ.
Ex: He became a president one year ago
- Làm bổ ngữ cho tân ngữ.
Ex: They named their dog Kiki
- Đứng sau tính từ ,mạo từ, đại từ chỉ định
Ex:Dog is an intelligent animal.
Tính từ miêu tả + danh từ
I love this song.
Đại từ chỉ định + danh từ
My father is a doctor.
Mạo từ + danh từ
I need some water.
Tính từ bất định + danh từ
- Sau enough.
Ex: He didn’t have enough money to buy that car.
2 . Adject ives [ Tính từ]
Đứng trước danh từ.
Ex: He is a handsome boy.
Sau danh từ.
+ Chỉ sự đo lường,tuổi tác.
Ex: I am 17 years old.
This table is 2 meters long.
+ Tính từ có tiếp đầu ngữ “a” :asleep, alight,alive , awake, alike…
Ex: I saw my son asleep on the floor.
- Sau động từ nối (linking verbs) : tobe,become,appear,feel,taste,look,keep,..

Ex: I feel comfortable.
- Sau đại từ bất định : something,anything,somebody,everyone…
Ex: This is your first time to take Ms Xuan’s course ,so I want to show you something special.
Sau trạng từ :BE+ADV+ADJ
Ex: Her house is romantically beautiful.
Trước enough
Ex: She is tall enough to play volleyball.
Trong câu cảm thán: How +adj + S + TOBE !

3. Adverbs [Trạng từ]
- Đứng trước hoặc sau động từ thường: ADV+V ; V+ADV ; V+O+ADV
Ex: They danced beautifully.
She kissed him romantically. He always gets up early
- Xen giữa trợ động từ và động từ.
Ex: She doesn’t absolutely believes in him.
- Trước tính từ-bổ nghĩa cho tính từ :ADV +ADJ+N ; LINKING V+ADV+ADJ
Ex: It's a reasonably cheap restaurant and the food was very delicious.
- Bổ nghĩa cho trạng từ khác.
Ex: The teacher speaks slowly enough for us to understand.
- Đứng đầu câu(bổ nghĩa cho cả mệnh đề -adv of manner)
Ex: Fortunately,he was not injured in that accident.

- Câu cảm thán: How+adv+S+V !

D. Trạng từ (-ly):
+ Dịch: Anh ta không biết nhiều về dự án nhưng mà anh ấy rất nhiệt tình.
